True story, but first, thank you guys so much for having Isaac Carree on the show. I was at my freinds house drinking and having fun in Dec of 96, I had been drinking for years, and messing up my life. But my freind's mom bought a new tape home on day. And it was called Whatcha Looking For, by Kirk Franklin and the Family. And so she asked us if we'd be interested in watching it. And we said yes we would. And man! Moma's song, and Why do we sing, changed my life. But I loved all of the songs. The spirit came straight thru the television screen. I stop drinking, and stopped drugs.I was a high school drop out. But went back, and now with a GED and two College degrees. thanks to Kirk. And on January 14th 2023, I will have 26 years Alcohol and drug free. Yes Kirk Franklin changed my life with his Album. Tank and J Valinentine you two guys are game changers for the good of the internet. Thanks agian.

Actually, Aretha didn’t even get to do a soundcheck for that performance. She had performed it a couple nights before with Pavarotti and he called the Grammys producer 5-10 minutes after the show STARTED, said he can’t sing, and that’s when Aretha got pulled backstage and asked to sing it. They added the 30 second intro to it just so she could hear the monitors but that’s it. And she killed it. The epitome of ICONIC.

1:13:47:4-1:14:28:5 I felt this to my core! I've learned more about myself since I stopped going to church and decided to establish a REAL RELATIONSHIP with God for MYSELF! God really meets you where you are and it's really up to you to follow Him once He comes to get you. I grew up in church all my life; my mom plays piano and my dad plays drums so I know "church" and religion. I didn't have the relationship. I'm 30 yrs old and I now have the relationship. I'm slowly but surely trying to find my way back to the church because I know what it means to serve and I love singing. God has his way of reaching His people! Those that get it, get and those that don't, they just don't.
