A former muslim was asked why he converted and he answered, saying that the Islam religion wanted him to die for Allah. In Christianity, Christ died for him.

Many years ago I worked for a muslim family from Iran. Now the parents were teens when the revolution happened so they had a normal childhood. The immigrated to the US in the late 80s. While working for them I learned that they were pretty liberal muslims. Only the mom said her prayers and went to the moseque and when we would talk about the faith she would talk to me like we prayed to the same God. What I thought was funny that in addition to owning a bible I noticed The Purpose Driven Life sitting on the unused dining room table. Sweet sweet family!

Among the conservative political commentators in the media. Allie is one of the few who is genuinely a follower of Christ. How many Christian guests does she invite? There's even moments where she preaches and gives people a theological analysis. Don't get me wrong people have a different style not saying everyone should be like Allie but some prominent conservatives who professes to be Christians really don't show it by their fruits. Christless conservatism is pointless

At the end of the day, I'll take the Christian Right over the Christian Left 10/10 times. At least Christian conservatives don't bash prayer after shootings nor support taking God out of everything and support Christmas becoming more atheized. I've also noticed you have way more Christian material from Christian conservatives on social media than Christian liberals. Pages affiliated with the Christian Left have way more political posts than Christian posts.

The true Gospel and Doctrine of Jesus Christ is over 2,000 years old Holy Catholic Apostolic Church. Martin Luther, John Calvin, and John Smith they created their own Gospel and Doctrine 500 and 150 years ago. So what that means is that all three of them they thought they were greater than God. Martin Luther was a Catholic, John Calvin was a Catholic. They both had a big big devotion to our blessed mother Mary. 1 John 2:19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt nave continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us

Dear Protestant Brothers and Sisters, I hope this message finds you well. I want to speak with you about the important matter of salvation, a subject which both Catholics and Protestants hold in great reverence, though we differ in our understanding of how salvation is attained. In Protestant belief, many hold to the doctrine of sola fide-that salvation comes by faith alone. You are taught that once you have faith in Jesus Christ, you are automatically saved, no matter your actions. This belief is based on scriptures such as Ephesians 2:8-9, which says, “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.” This passage emphasizes that salvation is a gift of God's grace, received through faith. However, the Catholic Church teaches that salvation, while rooted in faith, also requires our cooperation with God’s grace through our actions. In the letter of James 2:14-26, we are reminded, “faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.” This passage shows that faith must be living and active, demonstrated through good works. Jesus Himself said in Matthew 25:31-46 that our salvation will depend on how we love and serve others, especially the least among us: “For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me.” It is not enough to claim faith without living it out through love and deeds. In the Catholic understanding, salvation is a continuous journey, not merely a one-time act. It requires not just believing in Christ, but also following His commands, such as loving your neighbor as yourself (Matthew 22:37-40). We believe that salvation is a gift, but it is a gift that must be nurtured and responded to actively through our lives. As Catholics, we also believe that the Church plays a central role in the process of salvation. Jesus established the Church as His body on earth, with the apostles given the authority to teach and guide His followers (Matthew 16:18-19; John 20:21-23). By leaving the Catholic Church, you are not just leaving an institution but, in a sense, rejecting the fullness of Christ's presence in the Eucharist, His sacraments, and His teaching authority. Jesus Himself prayed in John 17:21, "that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us." The Church is meant to be the visible sign of that unity, and by leaving it, one risks severing oneself from the fullness of Christ’s Church. So, I ask you to reflect carefully on your understanding of salvation. Is it truly enough to place faith in Jesus alone and neglect the call to live out that faith through love and good works? And when it comes to the Church, are you sure that by leaving it, you are not distancing yourself from the fullness of Christ’s teaching and presence in the world? I write this not out of judgment, but out of love for you as a fellow Christian. We are all called to be united in Christ and to fully embrace His love and His teachings, which are faithfully carried out in His Church. With prayers for peace and understanding

Yes, John 3:16. For whosoever believeth in Him, shall not perish, but have everlasting life. While we should live a life of grace and good works in Christ, it only takes faith in Jesus Christ to be Saved. He already did the work.
@jenniferloring578512 сағат бұрын
@MyMusiqueLive ascribes to the brand of Protestantism that goes by the beliefs "once saved, always saved," or "justification through faith alone." These Protestant beliefs both mean that all a person needs for salvation (salvation meaning going to Heaven after death, or attaining eternal life) is to profess belief in Jesus. They think once you have accepted Jesus as your Lord and savior, it doesn't matter how you live your life; because Jesus atoned for our sins on the cross, that's the way we are saved. They think we don't have to keep from sinning or do good works to be saved. These Protestant beliefs are CLEARLY not what Jesus taught. (I thought Protestants knew their Bibles...) Jesus taught that both FAITH (in Him) AND GOOD WORKS are necessary for salvation. (Some Protestants do believe that, but there are lots who don't; with 45,000+ Prot. Denominations in the world, it's no wonder there are lots of flavors!) Here are three places in scripture where Jesus told us how to attain eternal life; please read the whole passage to get the full teaching. I've just summarized a bit for you. John 14:15-24 - This passage talks a lot about how we show we love Jesus...and it's all about keeping His commandments. He talks about how He and the Father will come to those who love him and reveal themselves to that person. Keeping the commandments is all about doing good works and not sinning. Matt 25:31-46 - This passage is about the final judgement at the end of time. Jesus will gather all the people before Him and divide them into two groups (he calls the groups sheep and goats). The sheep on his right are the righteous people and the goats on his left he calls the "accursed." The righteous will go into Heaven because they took care of other people (good works) during their lifetimes as Jesus instructed us, and the accursed will go into hell because they did not take care of others during their lifetimes. Jesus ends by saying, "Amen, I say to you, what you did not do for one of these least ones, you did not do for me," and that is how we will be judged...how well did we follow his commandment to love our neighbors? Matt 7:21-23 - This one says not everyone who says "Lord, Lord" will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only those who do the will of the Father. And, we know the will of the Father is that we follow the commandments and do good works. Even the people who prophesied and drove out demons in Jesus' name but who did not keep his commandments will be rejected. Again, following the commandments/doing good works is necessary for salvation. It's a both/and situation. We have to believe in Jesus and follow his commandments.

As someone raised in the Catholic church who turned Protestant, I beg to differ. The majority of Catholics around me were checking off boxes of works and felt right in the eyes of God. Unfortunately their religion was very works based and even without faith at times . They continued to blatantly sin and then go to church on a few Sundays a year. I was told Catholic church is “tradition”. I know there are true Catholics, but in my case they were seen few and far between. And unfortunately the church made them feel that since these boxes were checked that they did not need to continually seek a relationship with God. In a Protestant setting, I have found that a daily relationship with God is encouraged constantly. We are constantly reminded that we need to daily seek and pray. Study God’s word for ourselves. I now feel conviction from the Holy Spirit. See, works come naturally as the spirit of God guides us to. When I look around now I see people who God has completely changed, made new again only through the power of God. They continue to change and grow. That’s through the Holy Spirit, not through works commanded by men. I do believe that some Catholics are saved but God is the one who knows. The places where Jesus preached and saved souls looks nothing like the Catholic Church of today. So saying this is the only way, is to say that the places and ways that Christ himself saved people was not good enough. God can save who he wants, when he wants. And be it far from men to place him in a box. Also the church is the full body of believers who follow Christ. We are the Church. It is not a building, an establishment or group of men of authority over us. Like I have said I have been fully immersed in both denominations and the works that you refer to are certainly not limited to the patrons of the Catholic church.

No offense to her, but I really hate how she’s describing everything from a feminist perspective. Using feminist framing and words. She makes it sound as if the problem with places like Iran is because women don’t make as much as men as if that is a problem in all seriousness. Or that obedience to your husband is wrong. News flash lady, that’s a Christian tenant too. She definitely feels like a liberal Christian who wants something that’s completely different than Islam. The way she’s talking just rubs me the wrong way big time. And I say this is as a Christian American conservative

@darthjoshua66637 сағат бұрын
@@ry.butterfly the feminist movement has from its inception been terrible. Every single wave was bad. I suggest you read a book called occult feminism describing how feminism has always been a man hating ideology with strong ties to the occult and satanism. The whole point has always been to turn women against men, turn people away from religion (specifically Christianity), and hurt society as a whole. What you call feminism is just Christian morality being applied properly to a countries citizens. Based on how this woman is talking, she sounds like she would have found 50s America fairly bad as well. The time during which women in America were the most happy ironically enough. I hate how when describing Iran or other terrible Muslim countries, we have to look at it though an anti-Jew or anti-woman perspective. That’s not what makes these places bad. At least not fundamentally. They’re Muslim countries, that’s what makes them fundamentally bad. They deny Jesus Christ as their lord and savior and follow Muhammad who is a false prophet and they worship demons. And unsurprisingly their culture when operating theocratically is terrible. The west isn’t better because we allow more freedom to women or some crap like that. The west or Christendom has always been better because we follow the true god and his teachings.
