I really appreciate what this video DOESN'T have...all the blah, blah, blah non-stop, nonsense talking that others seem to deem required. Thank you!

Kicked back having a nice drink on your boat while listening to Waylon, life doesn't get much better than that.

@@jimsflorida1817 my pleasure. I'm also planning on getting a C-Dory after watching and meeting Trip on his SKIF rally this year, but finding one anywhere near us (I'm also from Florida) is very hard. Where'd you find yours? I'm seeing some over the last few months around NM and Washington state. Was yours local?

I've watched all of your videos at least five times. Doesn't that puppy have a Wallace heater on it? LOL. Jim it's time for a Winter cruise my brother. Greetings from NC. I love your videos. Stay safe brother. 🙏🐟😎

Dang really appreciate the kind words Fishbilly. Yeah it had a Wallace heater but I replaced it with storage as it was temperamental and not needed in FL. I've been Distracted with a class B Van I purchased last year But I am starting to get the itch to get out on the water again. Hope you and yours are all doing well up in N.C.

It's not a cheap upgrade. But.... A 24 volt 62" shaft trolling motor you will catch an endless supply of quality fresh fish. If you cast any lure to the bank repeatedly, you will catch fish. Easy as pie. With an on board charger, you'll be recharging your batteries while you sleep. The places you can get to via trolling motor in that boat instead of the 90 hp...... way more exotic. Thanks for the clip. It's like a dream.
@jimsflorida18173 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the comment Fran, agree a trolling motor would be a very useful addition.

@@jimsflorida1817 Hey Jim…. I would love some narration. Tell me, how long are your excursions? A weekend? A week? Where areas do you frequent around the keys? I would love to do what you’re doing, including hitting up a marina in Key West to take in the sights and restaurants and bars.
@jimsflorida18172 жыл бұрын
@@barnabashd6723 Thanks for the interest Barnabass. I'll try to do better at narrating so far it's been one or two nights out since the boat is new to me. This was a few hours north of the keys in Boca Grande Florida. I love your idea about the keys though That would be amazing keep the dream alive and make it happen I hope you get out there!

Love it! Thanks for sharing. I'm really curious how the AC will handle the salt over time, on say a rough day with salt spray hitting the fins over and over... I know rinsing it helps, but salt is an helluva corrosive element. :)
@jimsflorida18173 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much Mitch! Yeah I was thinking the same thing the salt water might be a bit hard on it but I'll be honest they're cheap enough and make such a difference in comfort that even if I had to buy one a year that'd be well worth it LOL
@jimsflorida18173 жыл бұрын
My apologies Mitch if I deleted your comment by accident I'm still learning how to manage the comments here. But yeah that darn Trip Smith gave me the Cdory fever LOL. I found it on Craigslist lucky for me it was in Ft Myers. I drove down and bought it on the spot. Replaced the old Honda 90 with a brand new Yamaha 90. Good luck and please let me know if you find one I hope you do.

We would love a boat like this. What year is yours? Anything you would upgrade/change? Also, my wife loves your coffee cups! Her grandmother used to paint on porcelain. Where did you get those?
@jimsflorida18172 жыл бұрын
Hi thank you so much for the comments! I love those coffee cups think I found them on eBay or Etsy I can't recall one of those. I'm big on the coffee ritual in the morning hope you find one for yourself, it's a 22 ft model is Cruiser year is 2001. But put new outboard on last year. Not much I'd change.
@kenvo30373 жыл бұрын
Nice adventure!! Just wondering how fast you can go with your 90hp... im planning to upgrade my 22 dory as well. I'm thinking 115-150hp... I want to go fast on my fishing trips...
@jimsflorida18172 жыл бұрын
Thanks Ken. Since I'm still in break in period for new motor I only ran it on plane (not full throttle) for just a few minutes It seemed to haul pretty good but I think it'll top out around 20 mph maybe just guessing? The bigger problem is the boat's rated for max 90 horsepower so a dealer won't put anything bigger than that on it you'd have to go outside a dealer.
@kenvo30372 жыл бұрын
@@jimsflorida1817 I got a 75hp honda carb.. its running 19mph max... yeah ill be installing it myself so I think 115hp or 130 wouldn't be overkill. Thanks for the info!! Enjoy over there, I'm from the Westcoast, soon or later I will make a trip over there with this. Haha
@jimsflorida18172 жыл бұрын
@@kenvo3037 sounds good Check out TripSmith's channel he just put a 115 on his. I probably underestimated my speed next time I go out I can hit wide open throttle for a brief period and I'll see if I can record the speed for you, It might get closer to 25 or 30 mph.
@kenvo30372 жыл бұрын
@@jimsflorida1817 I saw almost all the Dorys videos on YT. Haha. I think he was breaking in too. I also have that yammy 115hp on my arima 19' and it's doing 30-38mph depends on loads. I'm looking forward for your next video!!!

Love the boat, but that AC seems to block quite a bit of your view on the port bow.
@jimsflorida18172 жыл бұрын
Thanks Bill, I did change how I do things if you look at one of my later videos I left the AC unit sitting on the floor under the v birth and just lifted up and place it in the window when needed at night for sleeping it works out pretty good that way.
