There's a few major errors in this video. 1) Syria and Hezbollah were not allies or friends during the 1989 truce or the Lebanese Civil War (1975-1990). Syria-backed Amal and Iran-backed Hezbollah were rivals and fought each other heavily as enemies in the late-1980s. In the 1990s, Amal and Hezbollah became allies in parliamentary politics. Syria and Hezbollah started getting friendly thereafter. Hezbollah and Iran became formal allies with Syria after Hafez al-Assad died and Bashar succeeded him in July 2000. Hezbollah was a minor faction in the mid-1980s to mid-1990s. Amal was a major faction and most Shia in South Lebanon supported them. Hezbollah recruited heavily from Beirut and Northeast Lebanon. Amal was founded by leaders from different religions and sects in 1974, but came to be dominated by Shia by the time they entered the civil war in 1980 (against Israel, the PLO, and right-wing Maronites alike). Amal still remains a party that favors secular law. After Hezbollah defeated Israel in 2000 and arguably in 2006, the religious party's popular support grew immensely among Shia and from Lebanese across the sectarian, religious and political spectrum. 2) Hezbollah was formed in 1984, not 1982. Remember that Israel was selling munitions and spare parts to Iran until 1986. Israel favored Iran against Saddam in the Iran-Iraq War (1980-1988). Saddam was backed by most of the West (USA), the Warsaw Pact (USSR), Yugoslavia, and Arab monarchies. DPRK sold arms to Iran. China sold arms to both sides. Iran was also scraping together arms from any source it could find. Iran's IRGC formed alliances in Lebanon and Iraq in the early-1980s. They formed and assimilated Shia self-defense militias in Beirut. Then they helped to form the IJO in 1983 and some other groups whose primary task was to attack US forces and Arab monarchies, demanding they stop backing Saddam and demanding the release of previously-captured operatives. IJO operatives were Lebanese as well as Iraqis from the Dawa Party and ISCI. These two parties came to power in Iraq after the US invasion and toppling of Saddam in 2003. The different self-defense militias allied or backed by Iran coalesced to become Hezbollah in 1994. IJO and Hezbollah operated concurrently but were different organizations with different leadership and tasks. IJO ceased activities by the mid-1990s. 3) You should perhaps change the date in the title to _1984-2000._

Hey General, I seen this, you do good work. If you want a viral video do the battle of Megiddo 609bc (otherwise referred to as Armageddon) , followed up with Carchemish 605bc (the largest battle in history until this point.) It will be hard to get information about, trust me I'm about to publish a book on the subject. On my channel is some early release stuff. Necho 2 goes to rescue the King of Kings who is besieged by Babylon in Harran. The Judeans under Josiah ambush the Egyptians in Megiddo. This leads to the fall of Harran and the death of the Last King of Kings of Assyria. Carchemish follows up as the last Assyrians and the Egyptians make their Last stand against Babylon, the Medes the Persian tribes and others. This ends Assyria. What you will find really hard, the Assyrian Ashurians and the Arameans, both seen themselves as decendants from the Ark as well as the Jews, before Armageddon things were very different to what history records. Shortly after Armageddon all the Allies in the invasion of Assyria become unified under Cyrus. This is a big manipulation in history making Cyrus look like he conquered Babylon but it was actually Allies congregating. The world's first standardized coinage was then released, the start of the financial system and the WHY for the manipulation among others.

The bombing of the US Marines barracks and the bombing of the French paratroopers barracks were separate events. Additionally, the 241 US servicemen killed in the Marine barracks weren't all US Marines; there were US Navy (because the Navy provides medical services for the Marines) and US Army personnel in that total. There might be written rules of war established at the Geneva conventions, but I dare you to find any fighting force that has a claim on absolute moral superiority. One might say that those that fought against the Nazis are one, but it ignores the critical historical context of WW1, where all nations were playing the same imperial games, and Germany was forced to accept humiliating and debilitating sanctions and loss of land and economic productivity, while the allied victors walked away claiming no responsibility for the exact same behavior. The bottom line is this, conflict is ugly, and, if you've ever seen it or been a part of it, you know there are no rules when it comes to life or death struggles. That said, all sides involved in the Arab Israeli wars that have been going on for the past 76 years have committed horrible atrocities to each other with the mind frame that both of them are fighting a defensive war. And one might argue that the Israelis are occupying land that isn't theirs, but, at the same time, people from those very same regions didn't have many compunctions about service in the Ottoman military when they were subjugating people in the Balkans and other areas, and this does not excuse Israel's behavior, but, what it does show is that all nations and people's are perpetrators and victims at one part in history that is inexplicably connected to the events that follow. And since no side has any claim to moral superiority, the only moral choice must be to lay down your arms, stop fighting, and forgive all past grievances. Or... or we can all continue to believe that any one of our sides has the moral authority to take lives of the other side, which will inevitably decend us into a level of conflict from which only the strongest player who employs the dirtiest tactics to impose their will on their adversary will emerge because conflict does not reward noble intentions or ideals of honor. Conflict has its own will, it's own designs, and exists to do nothing other than propagate itself. And, being the dirty business that it is, rewards dirty players, and festers in the hearts of those unable to forgive. My heart goes out to all the victims on both sides who continue to die to this day in the horrible, protracted hell that is conflict. I'm sorry for the loss of your loved ones, your lives, your friends, your communities because both of my parents were taken from me at a young age through various forms of conflict, and its just downright horrible.

@@CaptainTex34 Way less than half, there were about 56000 Jewish people in Palestine in 1918, when all of Palestine had an estimated population of 750000. By 1939 those populations went up to 445000 and 1500000, respectively. Furthermore, genetic studies and archaeological evidence shows that modern Palestinians are descended from the original inhabitants. There was never any great exodus of all of the people of one religion from the Roman province of Judea or Syria Palestina. These are just stories from a collection of fairy tales. Instead the evidence shows that the Romans expelled the elites. Modern Palestinians are the descendants of Jewish peoples that converted to Islam, or Christianity. The oldest Christian population in the world are in Palestine. The evidence suggests that the modern population of Jewish Israelis are mostly descended from Europeans, and some of the Judean elites that the Romans expelled to other parts of the empire. But mainly European converts. So their "native roots" are questionable. While we're on the topic of madeup stories, there is no evidence of any great exodus from Egypt, and certainly not that 600000 men, plus women and children, wandered the desert for decades and then walked around the walls of Jericho until they fell down. Instead, they already lived in Jericho, the people of Jericho were Canaanites, as were the Jewish people. Their religions diverged, but they started as basically the same people, and Jewish religion started with multiple gods, some of the same gods as with other Canaanite peoples and Phoenicians. King Josiah got rid of the other gods, which were associated with other cities, to centralise control and taxes into his city, Jerusalem.

People use rhetoric to downplay hostilities as to promote confidence in any peace negotiations and to avoid escalations via support abroad for either side on the conflict. In this case it's to distance the average citizens from the respective nations from the actions of the groups doing the fighting as much of the western world view such groups as terrorists and as a result the average westerner would then see the majority of the people in said nations as terrorists via extension. PS: the title of the video could also have a clear religious war context to it, but also does not to distance religion from a never ending bloody conflict as the average person would eventually piece together that religion is not about peace but all about control.

On the occasion of the simple minds who watch you, how can you summarize a civil war full of events and complexities and you come to summarize it? You have mentioned many events and I do not know why you did not mention them. Why did you not mention the Sabra and Shatila massacre carried out by the Israeli army and its collaborators to kill Palestinian refugees? On this day, according to the testimony of the killers who live to this day from the soldiers of the Lebanese Phalange Party, they were ordered not to use bullets and to use only white weapons. Also, on the same day, Sharon gave a rifle to Pierre Gemayel of the Phalange Party on the occasion of his victory over the defenseless citizens. On the occasion of the warnings that the Israeli army was giving, are they the same warnings that it gave to the residents? Do you think that the residents who are being killed in Gaza because they do not follow the instructions? You are talking about more than 40,000 recorded dead and a number of videos, pictures, and confessions from the killers themselves. By the way, I have a question: Are these the same warnings that the white occupiers who came to the Americas were giving to the indigenous population?

As a previous commenter said they did cover it in a previous video. I think it’s fair to say a 16 minute video cannot do justice to such a complex event and it would have been wise to reference the S&S massacres anyways. I also think a somewhat more critical attitude toward the “warnings” given to civilians would also be important since it was used to basically justify any civilian deaths as if such a warning voids the rules of war. We see that in Gaza today.

We all must sincerely receive Jesus into our life to be God's child.
