Israeli teacher who was locked up and persecuted for opposing war on Gaza speaks up

“They wished me to die, they wished my children to die, they threatened to rape my daughter.”
Meir Baruchin, a 62-year-old Israeli history teacher and anti-war activist, revealed how he was arrested in October and imprisoned in solitary confinement as a “high-risk detainee” in November for “intent to commit an act of treason” and “intent to disrupt public order” after he posted a photo of Palestinians killed by the Israeli army on 7 October in opposition to the war on Gaza.
He had also faced harassment and threats from other Israelis online over the post. When he was released from prison and returned to his school to teach, he was met with a “violent demonstration” from his own students and was forced to barricade himself in the teacher’s room.

Baruchin claimed that the guy was humiliated by being laid on the ground for a long period of time, was unable to find work, and in act of "desperation" and "lose of hope" for himself and children, ran over six people. Even if we speak in terms of psychology, one might do such an act only if he has nothing to lose anymore, if his entire family gets murdered. But that guy still had his family. Also, normal people can't kill in cold blood. Baruchin also has the best whataboutism. When asked about Hamas raping Israeli women, he responded, "And Israeli army doesn't rape Palestinian women?" I don't think that's the right answer. Normal people don't get forced into raping someone out of "desperation". Freedom fight is a very old concept. But we never had the concept of "freedom rape" before liberal islamists started twisting their victim card. Muslims are not the first people being oppressed. Also, when my nation was being occupied by the British empire, Muslims were the only people who did not fight alongside us.
