Israelis stage anti-government protest, call for end to war and return of hostages

Thousands of Israelis protested outside the Knesset in Jerusalem on Monday, while lawmakers opened the Summer session. Street demonstrators called for immediate elections and the release of all the hostages in Gaza. Many Israelis, anguished over the hostages and accusing Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of putting political interests ahead of all else, want a deal to stop the fighting.
