As an SiTe myself, this just hits too close to home. Well duh, make things more clear and explicit for me by filling in the Ne gaps of understanding so I don't have to do it myself. So earlier today at work in the library I was helping a customer who requested to have a documentary printed out. I immediately said that I don't understand you because documentaries are something you watch. On the inside I thought he was kind of stupid. And he probably thought I was stupid too for not understanding him. After some clarification, it turns out he just wanted the script to a documentary printed out. I was able to find it on KZbin, opened up the transcript and printed that. Now why didn't he just say print out the script? Then it would have been all clear. Things like this happen to me all the time-- people are not very precise with their words, so I'm confused because I tend to take things literal.

This makes so much sense! My MM-Te/Si mum does exactly this, especially with feelings. She has trouble picking up on other people's feelings and reading the emotional state of the room, so she is always saying things like "learn to communicate...enunciate your words clearly...don't mumble... say what you mean". She also struggles to understand complex movie plots, especially with really esoteric, abstract N movies or satirical parodies (where one thing is a metaphor for a completely different thing). My Ne boyfriend is the opposite! He *hates* it when shows over-explain things. He sees it as an insult to his intelligence. But god how I need him so that our web pages don't explode, and I love to work with the guy. OMG. Uranus. Dude.

As a web developer, I have to back him up on this. Uhhh YES everyone in your audience will care if the site breaks. You absolutely MUST have files in the right folder or else the pages literally will not load and your website will break. Unless you want a bunch of 404 Errors on your site, you might want to listen to him. What he's referring to is literally how a website works. The folder structure defines the information architecture/menu structure of the site. If you don't follow that structure, pages just won't load because the website can't find the file in the place where it is looking. When someone is that adamant about something, maybe give them some credit. As the video says, just because it was Cara's demon doesn't mean she was wrong.

So after many struggles I’ve arrived into simply wanting to be myself, without the need to start to describe and frame it in any way {other than human being - or simply myself}. I’m finding the simplistic labelling we do to our selfs and others quite unfortunate, as somehow though the time these labels got mistakenly accepted as a measure of a person’s value...the humanity, soul and spirit of people has been pushed into the shadows.

This might not be what you’re talking about, nishbrown, but I do think there’s another way of looking at people saying “you don’t understand”. I think there’s a lot of people that really aren’t good at listening, and make lots of assumptions about people without being willing to check their biases. It seems to me that this happens to me a lot. I’ll say something, and someone assumes they know what’s behind what I’m saying. But actually, they’re totally wrong, and after MUCH discussion when I finally get them to listen, they realize what I meant in the first place. Probably it’s partly my fault for not being good at explaining things, but I really feel like lots of people are also bad at listening. In which case “you don’t understand” is perfectly justifiable, I think.

You're contradicting yourself. If it's easy to subvert, then by definition, it's not easy to control, and vice versa. The ability to control the narrative is basically mostly due to tech (ie, how many people can you reach, and how expensive it is => Determines how centralized the info center will be), anyway, so to determine if it has become one or the other, we have to examine the latest tech, the Internet. It made it easy to subvert the narrative early on, due to its decentralized/everyone has a voice nature, so everyone can drop a comment on whatever. It also allowed users from the internet to attack more classic media, and debunks/disprove it. That's basically spelled the death of legacy media, be it on Tv or even Newspaper. And the "everyone has a voice" side made it so that anyone could find a public easily enough, that's the "chaos"/freedom tons of people liked about the internet, a wild west. As such, the internet is/was highly subvertive/decentralized. In fact, that's exactly what trolls are, subvertive individuals doing for shit and giggles. The switch we've seen/are seeing, though, is the new centralization with Google, Facebook, Twitter, etc, (which are even more centralized to California due to the silicon valley.), basically settling that Wild West. With them, come tons of busybodies who need for it to be "safe" (Think of the children !"), and calling for regulations. They don't like being trolled/being the butt of jokes, so they hated trolls and are tyring to stop the subvertive nature of the internet. And that's also how you get that new breed of "trolls", who are being subvertive, but that's because they want to be in control themselves. Basically, activists. Eitheir wy, in that sense, the internet is a control/centralized force. So yeah, the Internet is switching from a subvertive to a control force. That tendency isn't set in stone just yet (after all, people are starting to use the term anti-trust around thoses enterprises and new power centers)

Ah yes, my grandfather is an ISTJ. He puts a premium on sequential, easily comprehended instructions and hates it when well enough isn't left alone. I loathe his lack of appreciation for finding a more efficient way to do something (since it's new and unproven), and this is compounded by his purist views on intent of technology (this tool is meant for that purpose, and no other), but I can get on board with a lot of his "tried and true" thinking if it is simple and effective such that resources can be spent on more things. I was wondering, I've recently been diagnosed with ADHD and this got me thinking about whether or not ADHD would cluster around personality like autism does (if I remember correctly) my first thought is that because people with ADHD are hyperactive it would be really easy to (mis)type them as play over sleep even when they might have sleep over play basically, the question that I'm asking is, what would a person with ADHD look like if they have play last? I have a hypothesis but i'm curious to your input: I think they would behave pretty "normal" and not super hyperactive the majority of the time apart of some ticks perhaps (think tapping fingers, walking for no reason, fidgeting...) but when they're in a play state which will inevitably happen at some point they'd be unleashed and become super ADHD however i kind of wonder whether or not a person like this even would be diagnosed with ADHD since the symptoms are only really clear at specific times even though it's always there

From a general guess, I would say that ADHD with play last would have problems holding a conversation and can only give or take orders instead sharing new information. Demon understanding would always piss me off so much at school cause kids would always be like ''This test is too hard how am I supposed to UNDERSTAND this?? You should have told me explicitly to memorize this blablablah.'' And I would just be like I understand it so why can't you?? It made me so mad that they were so lazy that they demanded to basically be given all the answers to the test.... Why are you in school then? ugh.

Can you guys type a female having masculine fe ni. Just curious what that looks like.
@TheNicMMc4 жыл бұрын
I think...The "NF" seems to the part that make decisions or "want things" as oppose to just generally "SF" liking things. like an infj with masculine fe ni would blast other person's choice by insistently tell him/her on what she should choose as a final decision. And for contrast a masculine fe Si would blast their positive reactions to a person decision but will refuse or be very reluctant to tell that person on what they should choose.

Or maybe people should just learn to think critically and not believe everything they see on the web.

Nice! But, here's the thing. Before this can be Authentically called: "Objective," this is what your Test responses should *not* be: "I always *felt* 'such & such' was their type. Cool! Bring it on up!" It would/should look *waaaay* more like this: "Yeah? Hm. I'm not so sure about that. Let's see whatchya got!" That said, (& about this whole "Si 'Rules'" thing) if "the tribe" is gonna hold "the self" accountable & responsible for achieving certain goals, least "the tribe" should do, is set the fqn parameters clear, consistent, & straight. It's a lot less hypocritical (& a lot more Respectful/Respectable & Success Driven) that way. Oh yeah, and, clear rules allow for work/play balance. Otherwise... What's the fqn point of a "tribe?" For some douchebag "chief" to blow themselves (@ everyone else's expense)? Remember, folks: High level Respect may be *earned,* but, *NEVER* sell your Loyalty for cheap. Just my "2 cents."

"the fqn parameters clear, consistent, & straight." Bro...bro that would make my ST soooo happy But here's the thing with rules and people. They really don't know what their rules are...until someone breaks them and they'll get mad but the thing is they'll hold it in until they explode and then they'll forget about it during the next day >_> And whole cycle repeats it self! I have SiTi and so it pisses me off so much on a personal level and I'll be the only one that really remembers and actually follow the rules until I genuinely stop giving a shit. What about my SiTi rules. Nope! Only me apparently! Again >_>

@Blue: Ok. Well, 4 quarters is definitely worth far more than 2 cents. So, I'm not so sure of exactly what you mean. And, I'm ok with that.

Yeah...I mean not to overgeneralise people by their type BUT I really don't get along with lead Si people cuz they trigger the life out of me yet I kinda admire them by so strict and organised systems that they build for themselves n stick to it. That's probably n mainly cuz I suck at doing so
