Hahahaha. I wake at 3:30 am Monday through Friday to drive 37 minutes to work and drive 11 hours in a semi truck (total of 11 to 14 hours of work a day) and then drive 37 minutes home.

After getting the deck i find myself looking at games on Steam a bit differently. I will look at it and I am like will I play this on the Deck or on the PC? Last two games I got were Beyond good and evil remaster (playing on the deck) and space marine 2 (Playing on my desktop)

My life has changed the way I play, way more than what the SteamDeck and also my rog ally x can play in terms of limits. I find myself enjoying Geforce now streaming to subsidize performance. Now I can max out my handhelds and if I hook up to a monitor, my monitor without spending massive amount on money toward stronger hardware

I think the steam deck oled has long lasting capabilities mainly because the screen is darn pretty so you’ll play switch 2 for the exclusive and you’ll play steam deck for the screen

You mentioned that Xbox released a PC because it is doing an all digital 2TB console but both of those details are true of the PS5 pro as well However I will say that both Xbox and PS5 are basically PC’s with locked, custom OS’s at this point for all intents and purposes

For me Switch 2 will be 1st Party Nintendo games (hopefully they will be backwards compatible with Switch one games too). However I also will leave the switch 2 hooked up to TV 📺 so my 8 year old has easy access to gaming! Try leaving your PC/Steam deck connected to a TV so your family can use it, it’s not “people proof” and that’s where consoles fit in for me, my personal gaming set up will be Steam Deck/ PC. Once Handhelds reach 1080 med - high - 60 fps or easier EGPU dock experience I will just use handheld, and ditch the Purpose built PC. I also use MacBook and Apple products for all other computing and life admin needs!

Your pc is an Xbox its designed to interface together and if you buy games from the Microsoft store it will give you in the Xbox store vise varsa. But majority will buy from steam.

I've had a Switch since 2020, and for a while it was my main gaming device. I recently got a new gaming laptop, and am now eyeing the Steam Deck OLED for the bump in performance compared to the Switch. I might just wait a while and compare my options, though.

Rog ally x is best if you want to play everything with good battery. Steam deck for half the games, all indies and emulators.

I’m so tempted to buy a deck but I keep telling myself just stick with the switch and wait to see what the switch 2 can do. I have a gaming pc that I used to play exclusively on but now I prefer playing on a big 4k tv and it’s just not convenient to use a pc for that. Also I like having the portability option when I go out of town. The switch just still wins in my opinion.

@@Johnny_Dickerson if your tv is in same room with your pc then it’s fine but If your tv isn’t in the same room as your pc you’d have to run a long hdmi cable or stream it. Then you’d have to figure out how to connect keyboard and mouse. In my case it would be much more convenient to have a console that you can turn on and boot straight into your game while you’re on the couch with the controller.

That's a wise choice, some text heavy games are not adapted to be on a 7 inches screen(many don't even support the full 7,4 inches 16:10 format), so if the switch 2 is expected to have a 8 inches screen that would be great to play those games. For example on the new Metaphor: ReFantazio demo some of the ui text is so tiny that is super straining to read and what makes it barely playable is setting one of the back buttons to zoom in the image to fill the 7,4 inches of the screen. That's why many games on deck is only tagged as "playable" , due to text being too small, even though it runs fine.

Part machismo attitude part practicality, my dad is in the trades and having a bunch of rings, chains, and loose watches can get caught in machinery and choke or slice off a finger, people roll their eyes when you say it’s for safety but when you start giving them the real men’s don’t wear jewelry’s speeches they start taking it off cause they don’t want people to make fun of them

@@stvncbrwr is not something I even have a large base on which to argue and it's classic men's fashion. Don't wear white after Labor Day sort of thing. Also, it was something my grandpa, told me to follow and he also said that you shouldn't trust people who wear too much jewelry. Mind you he attempting to take down mob bosses, most of his adult life. so that might be some of the Bias.
