The good thing is you have great drainage, my yard has a high water table and once it rains that much its flooded for weeks and possibly months at a time. Mine finally has no standing water for the first time this year as of 3 days ago, I didn't say it was dry but its getting there.

Omg I wish right now. I'm in Ontario Canada and it's super dry the past 3 summers. We seam to have stretches 4-6 weeks long without rain. The grass just starts to look nice in the spring and we get a crazy dry spell.

Just across the lake from you in Rochester NY, same conditions. I put a bunch of seed out to do some repair and level a spot during May, with the memorial day heat i put a lot of water on, had thunderstorms today, but weekend looks mild, got some organic ironite going to spread out. Was suppose to catch the Bluejays in Toronto this weekend. Obviously thats not happening.

And then snow in May followed by super high humidity less than 2 weeks later :) we certainly get it all up here. The massive humidity this week spawned weeds quicker than I’ve ever seen

My 20 year old Snapper rider has been out for 2 weeks with stripped differential gears and my 36 year old Honda pusher died at the same time! Bought a Toro super recycler a couple days ago and parts are in for the Snapper. Back to business. The Toro is real nice compared to the old Honda.. it actually cuts the grass,LOL. Of course now it stopped raining and the grass isn't growing much.

I understand. I live along a Bayou in Texas east of Houston. Most of the time it has about 1 1/2 feet of water flowing in it buuut when the rain comes is will rise fast. Thankfully thye flood control district moved the bayou pathway over a couple of hundred feet from my yard. During Hurricane Harvey it rose 20 feet and came up into my yard. I had several neighbors that flooded. Anyway I enjoy your lawn care videos.

Living in the puget sound area of the Pacific Northwest I have learned to cut damp or wet grass out of necessity. I sharpen my blade razor sharp every time at this part of the season. I have to cut even if the ground is a little soft unless I want grass that is 8 to 10" tall
