On Tuesday, April 11th at 5pm PDT, the Chinese American Museum commemorated the 125th anniversary of United States v. Wong Kim Ark, a Supreme Court decision determining that the 14th Amendment to the United States Constitution guaranteed citizenship to all persons born in the United States, regardless of the national origin of their parents.
CAM welcomed President of Queens College Frank H. Wu to discuss the historic Supreme Court case and the decision that protected citizenship rights for Asian Americans and BIPOC folks for the past 125 years. President Wu was joined by University of California, Irvine professor Dr. Linda Trinh Vo.
