Dave love your videos. A great watch. Wish my grandfather was around to watch your videos. He fished for stripers in 60s and would have passed out over what you toss back as bycatch. Btw, he loved the vienna sausages on the boat and the can doubled as a urinal when necessary. Hope you keep catching the big ones. Sometime go try Kerr Lake in NC - beautiful lake, some big fish over there. BUT EITHER WAY, YOU ARE AWESOME

Hi Dave, cracking fish man! One question, Do you have metal spools on your reels? I'm asking because I once lost the fish of a lifetime when a carbon spool imploded on me. I now use only alloy spools with level winds to keep a perfect pressure spread across the spools. No more implosions but, no more fish that big to test my theory either.

A little trick in high current. If you're spotlocked and running almost 10 trim up your outboard motor and watch that speed go down to 6.5 to 7. If you're running 10 to hold eventually you drift out of spotlock radius and spotlock will kick out ( sucks when you got poles out the back)
