It's definitely worth the publicity. Bringing to light the racism that exists in this country is worth it. And spencer needs to be a man and not go around calling people names like a child this is a mans sport he should have kept his mouth shut and got on with it like a man but instead he chose to act like a child. Ezra done the right thing. Shows we are better then white surpremacists and other races think we are. Not sure why Ezra couldn't wait till the end of the game to approach Lenu and find out what he ment. Seen plenty of comments on fb where people didn't even know that the term monkey is used as a racial slurr, especially some of the younger ones. Also Seems odd that a dark man would insult another dark fella with that term, be like Nicho calling me cracker and me being offended rather than confused. This now creates an issue as many of the dark guys who use other words such as the N towards each other ( usually as term of endearment) but could see someone banned or career ruined if a player wanted to make a fuss of it.

Latrell needs to open up his heart and put in some effort on the field.

A young 15 year old AFL fan said it to an AFL player years ago at a game and got a lifetime band from the stadium and AFL games. Spencer needs to grow up , he said it! you can tell by the way HE SAID ITS ALL FUN AND GAMES. So if you ask me that's a pretty guilty statement.

@@peter-josephlamusitele6296 Ezra done the right thing we don't need racism in our sport and in our society. It's spencer who acted like a child calling people names he should have shut his mouth and got on with it like a man would have done, yet he chose to act like a child in a mans sport.

How is this a racial slur again? It was an attack on one particular player? They've taken it too far. I don't understand all these fuss.

It doesn't matter how minor some people may think the incident was, stuff like this should never happen in a game of professional Rugby League. Racism is still racism no matter how big or small it is.

The NRL has shown a tuff stance on racism. Let them handle it. I remember when they were deciding the best way to handle head knocks. The advice. Take the decision making away from the players as they can be unrealistic and not fully consider all the ramifications. Same here. Its bad for the game and the players but most importantly its bad for society.

No they haven't andrew johns was not taken care of when he called greg inglis what he called him. Johns has a show still and is a commentator still. He was even called in again by brad fitler to help out in origin again. Everyone turned on Timana Tahu for bring his white surpremacists attitude to light. And the same is happening to Ezra now people are trying to brush it off like nothing. But one things is certain you never see Jonathan Thurston or Mel Maninga or Sam Thaiday or Greg Inglis or Steve Renouf or Hamiso being racist though why is that? We must be made of better stuff.
@kimbroomhead60036 ай бұрын
We must be made of better stuff. I smiled that you think I'm just some white fella making my point. Wrong. I looked up the history...and it is 13 year old history on Timana Tahu. He wanted it handled by mediation and that's how it was handled and out of the blue,Joey decides he is going to step down from coaching the blues. The NRL don't employ him to have his own show or commentate. That's the media. After listening to his comments on the issue at hand today on Freddie and the Eighth. Different attitude. Mate. Move on. 13 years ago. It appears everyone is moving on but you. What happened to Adam Goodes has been a huge wake-up call. The NRL won't want this to fester. At the next Bronco's game there will be a lot of surveillance of the crowd to make sure Ezra is protected from the abuse that Adam was subjected. No good can come for Ezra's career having this played out in the media. He is a very young man and needs to be supported. The comments from Spencer may we'll have been a joke but we expect higher standards today. Racism is no joke.

We have become a very sensitive society. Its not 'tough' like it used to be. And thats okay! We should want a nicer society. Leniu just needs to follow suit like the rest of us.

Latrell is held up as an "indigenous role model + leader" off the field, but he's a deadset grub on it! 💯%🪱 ps Rabs won't make the finals?
