I love it when Charlie gets to scheming. He’s normally barely present psychologically, but his ability to get in the zone when sufficiently motivated in unparalleled.

Charlie is lowkey the smartest of the group, he's just ridiculously uneducated and barely sober, but whenever he gets to scheming, he's capable of completely playing or intimidating everyone. Charlie is also lowkey the physically most imposing member of the gang, he bashes rats for a living, is essentially completely invulnerable to poison, can't be knocked out and is willing to bite people's necks when the situation calls for it

Nah, I don't feel bad for him. You should recognize early on when someone or something is toxic for you and stop feeding into that. If you don't, then that's on you. He could have developed relationships with other members of his family, but he never does because he keeps chasing the toxic one.

Are you guys west coast? It's really common here for shitty apartments to have doors going nowhere. Back when it was a single family house, most rooms had two doors, so you could direct or stop the flow of heat, when you only had one fireplace or stove to heat the whole floor. When they divide the building up into multiple units, they just seal up those extra doors. Really nice old houses, or really shitty, old houses still have multiple doors per room.
