True, it helps keep the series somewhat grounded plus the gang picking up trash at the end is a great payoff as that was their other option for community service in the beginning of the episode. They picked youth basketball coaching and after that turning into pure chaos, getting sent to pick up trash is the perfect end to this episode.

Funny how Frank wasn't punished with them even though he was most of the reason (except for Dennis's & Mac's terrible coaching advices, Dee looking like a giant banana in high heels and Charlie showing up as the drunk reckless referee) why this went down so poorly. Frank literally made it about betting in a kids basketball school game and threw one of the players off the team just so they could win money. He showed by far the worst and weakest example despite the other ones being almost just as bad. I guess it's only about corruption in the end who has a hand in the broken authority or some other bs. It's always the mafia mentality that wins it sucks. I'm glad they were punished but I don't understand why Frank escaped it.

I don't understand how Frank dodged the punishment he was a big reason why this whole thing fell apart with them. The old man only wanted to punish those 4 because he's an old school type of coach just like Frank is. Frank is by far the laziest one so I can see him trying to ditch work like he did here. Selfish greedy bastard. Making a kids basketball game about betting. Corruption. The old guy probably just gave him a free pass while the others had to pick up the trash and do more community service. Not really fair for anyone here at least not Charlie, Dee, Mac and Dennis. it probably was because frank didn't orginally have community service and betting on elementary basketball isn't illegal i believe whilst the coaches telling kids to break each others toes and stab each other with pins whilst fighting on the touchline and the ref shouting and smacking the ball and causing fights whilst drunk is illegal
