Right now I'm thinking about dropping out of college, I'm in my third year studying computer science, but honestly I feel a lack of purpose other than money... That's why I'm going to become a firefighter, I know it's not a big goal, but It was my childhood dream and I genuinely think I'm going to be happy doing it! Thanks for this video my friend! I hope all of us can find something that gives a meaning to our lives!

@@n1a316 Thanks for the advice! I will keep that in mind, but being from Brazil, things are a little different, I would never drop out if I had any student debt, here I study for free on a federal university, and a computer science major takes 4 years to complete. Also to become a firefighter there is an age limit, 25 for officials and 30 for soldiers, and since being a firefighter you are also part of the military, there's a lot of benefits in this career, such as great stability, good work scales and many more... but for me, I'm just looking to be happy and helping people.

I’ve been having these thoughts for years, now. I started college in film studies because arts is all I can think about doing with my life and I’m so fucking tired of feeling like I failed life. All everyone thinks about is having a plain, simple life where all is shaped around the prospect of earning money. I don’t want that: I want something else, a life built around passion. And somehow, I feel like people put shame on that type of life decision. I’m fine with my choices but I keep having these doubts because it seems like everyone thinks this is the worst decision I’ve took in my life. It might be in the traditional way of thinking but I think it’s my rebellion to the world that keeps us from being real humans.

there's ways to make good films on your phone . then post to KZbin.. it's a great way to build experience Steven Spielberg used to film all kinds of things with very basic cameras when he was starting out, just to get a feel for framing shots etc and it's best to try to do what you love in life, but it is useful to have income from something and that helps us be able to do things but there's ways to earn that are in your field and when you are training etc, but it is LONG HARD WORK sometimes pursuing our dreams and no one pays us for most of it but it's not wise to feel like "everyone" is against you, or that everyone is chasing money.. there's lots of people who are trying to do creative things and i bet there are some people who trying to be supportive and help you in life at different times. just because some people might be concerned about your future does not mean they are an enemy.. they may have had to earn just to make sure you could eat, and they maybe gave up on their dreams to make sure you have a roof over your head, so give them some love too, not everyone who is concerned about us is an enemy, they just care that you are ok but years ago there were NO film studies courses.. it was sheer dogged determination that was needed to get into film sets to learn how it is done.. so if you do get on a course please use it wisely and don't just get wrecked on drugs.. make films, on your phone! even five minute mood pieces that are just nice shots of things edited together in inshot app or something it would be cool to see you post a message to tell us to check out your channel for a piece you've made.. it does not have to be "perfect" .. be you.. do the things you feel you want to in life.. things fall into place more the more things we do in fields we love i write songs and record them and get very few views but i write from my heart about what i feel in tough moments in my life and i put them on my channel..i get no money from it and very few views, but i keep on writing my songs about what i feel in tough moments in life and i keep posting the videos as i want to be able to feel i did try to do the things i meant to in life.. it would be cool to see a video you make of one of my songs if you'd like that as a project "Blaze" is quite a deep one.. would be great to see you do a video for that on your channel.. let me know if you ever do.. it can be just cool moody shots of places and things if you like, that would give you a cool first project to do on your phone.. we have a film studio in our hand . with better cameras than Hollywood used to have, built into our phones.. and editing software in apps like inshot that we can use to create videos and films.. and we learn best on basic equipment as that makes us focus on the basics like good framing of a shot which is a FUNDAMENTAL skill to build up and we only get good at something by trying.. so keep on trying! don't wait til you get on a course.. just start making cool video clips, they don't have to have actors or scripts, just get used to making things around you look cool in shots and edits etc, creating moods and vibes i might do that too when i think about it! Thanks for getting me thinking about this more The best thing to do is just to try to do what you want in life, sometimes we need to earn though as it is not easy for people to support you all the time so that's why they get concerned about money maybe.. maybe they are struggling to keep paying bills and just don't want to tell you good luck Best wishes from Rolland ..at Castle Hassall.. on the edge of The Atlantic..

@@wardeggerrobertmarius144 most successful people all started with a dream and conviction. Dreamers can be often seen as delusional. Which I understand. I used to come off delusional myself until I started to truly hone in on just what it takes to even think of winning a Nobel in my future. Manifesting at its finest. Also when it comes to success it can come down to a simple equation. Opportunity is luck plus preparation leading to success. So there are aspects of luck involved if we are being honest.
@lilbeans7 ай бұрын
@@wardeggerrobertmarius144did you miss the point of the video? Delusions aren’t always false premises. Sure, they might seem too giant to handle, and too frustrating and out of someone’s league, but that doesn’t mean that being delusional and creating these “false premises” have to be accidental. Our goals and hopes and dreams are not an accident that are ACCIDENTALLY grown within us, hence our delusions to work towards our goals and hopes cannot be delusion either. Because you won’t accomplish anything if you keep staying stuck and facing reality that you aren’t smart, pretty or hardworking enough. Which is why delusion is needed. (In the sense of giving it your all and putting yourself in a mental state where you can do it) In going after your dreams delusion is needed, because there is no path a human hasn’t taken that resulted in listening to what someone’s outer or inner circle told them, about them not being good enough to get a Nobel peace prize or become the president of the US.

You’d be surprised as to just how many successful people didn’t get that way overnight, but years and years of honing a craft. Being patient. Waiting for what is known as luck WHICH is down to a simple problem luck= prep + opportunity. I’m proud to be delusional because that means, to me, I have big dreams. As Denzel Washington has said with two memorable quotes I’ll leave you with. 1. Fail forward. 2. I’d rather you aim high and miss than aim low and hit. Thank you, I love your contents man, keep it up! There is always a main character that has delusional goal in those Shounen stories. But somehow we forgot about the essence of those stories, about the power that we have in our hands. Just like Guy Ritchie said:"You must be the master of your own kingdom", we can control our actions to create our reality, so why don't be a delusional person but happy to decide his/her value rather than a "REALISTIC" person who limits his/her own belief, gives him/herself a reason to not do sth? STEP OUTSIDE YOUR COMFORT ZONE AND DEAL WITH THE UNKNOWN!!!!

I’m going to have to check out those stories. That’s a very good quote. I agree

Thank you man for this video. I was a child with extreme anxiety. Constant judgment about my looks from my classmates, constant insults, disrespect had made me an extremely insecure kid, an egoist and a self-entitled crap and ruined basically all of social skills and development. This also came with a ton of limiting beliefs, to the point where I thought my self-worth is only based on people's approvals of my ability, and I never dared to step a foot outside, I was scared of people judging my looks and I was scared of them calling me stupid. And guess what, I WAS 11-13 AT THAT TIME. My family didnt help neither, I know they're still some lovely people but I guess they didnt understand my situation and it's kinda crazy that they dont noticed anything strange about a kid who doesnt go outside or have any friends coming home. This anxiety destroyed my self-confidence, my self-esteem, my social skills and most importantly, a big part of my childhood. WHY DID I END UP IN THIS HORRIBLE CLASS?, WHY WOULD EVERYONE BE SO CRITICAL OF ME WHEN I'M BARELY REACHING PUBERTY? It's only when I'm 14 that I realized some of this harmful thoughts and I stopped giving a shit about them. I still really hate them and I would never forgive them, those piece of rotting shits. The more frustrating thing is, I noticed some people who had the same situation as me and they all seemed to have a social skills problem (Wow, who could have guess that a child who gets ridiculed by people hate talking to people?) and yet some people still have the audacity to ask "Why are they so stupid" YOU TYPE OF PEOPLE CAUSED THIS YOU SON OF A BITCH. And then they went on not to try and help it but just deepen the wound. I hate those type of people. Your beliefs of yourself can influence a lot of important things that you don't even realise, If a person is convinced that they're ugly, they're likely to be more ugly (Why try to strive forward if people are gonna call you ugly anyway?) If they're told that they are stupid, they're more likely to be stupid.

Those experiences helped shape the person that you are today, and you're now stronger more than ever. That's good that you have self awareness about the experiences that you went through and how it influenced you for the better. Give yourself more credit for doing that.

maybe start finding something you like to do. Finding something you like to do/work with/work as can help create this inner voice of giving it your all, and eventually change the voices in your head (:

following delusions is about faith. If you have faith in your delusions and youre happy, they often go from delusion to reality. If your delusions are letting you astray and youre being lied to or lying to yourself, you're goated.

This video comforts me. Right now I feel caught in-between two ideas of where to go with my life that are, for all intense and purposes, crazy and delusional. One i only have so much time to pursue, the other pretty much my whole life to pursue. Both of them are met with disapprovel from some of my friends and even family, but others also think i should do it. And all the while i keep thinking i have to chose one or the other. But you know what: life is short, so why not try to do both while i'm able too, and if it doesn't work out, so what? At least i wouldn't regret never doing it at all!
@progressful7 ай бұрын
It’s never a bad idea to do both as long as you know where you are prioritizing your time. Even 1 hour a day on one of those activities over time can go such a long way. I wish you good luck!
