Seriously?!?!? I have 4 kids and they love my oatmeal. I'm not a morning person and Never once did I stop to think about crock potting it!!!!! Thank you so much lol!!!!!

I have to say I was shocked a couple years ago when a friend told me to make my taco meat or other main dishes in the crock pot on the deck outside in summer so you are not heating up the house. I do have covered deck/porch tho but right on outside it goes now. Less heat in my no AC house in the summer.

I love doing this--It's best to add the sweetener in the morning after it is cooked, because adding sweetener at the beginning could cause burning to the bottom of the pot!

Love to add berries to my overnight porridge; blueberries give it a lovely blue shade. Or if I want a more savoury breakfast, crumbled crispy bacon. For leftovers pour it into a loaf tin. When it sets slice it, dip it in egg then breadcrumbs and shallow fry.

My hubby loves oatmeal and eats it almost every morning for his breakfast. Its helped lower his cholesterol too. I'm more of a cream of wheat or cocowheats kinda gal. I bought him steelcut oats but it does take forever to cook he says so maybe ill just get my smaller crock out and set it up for him so he can eat and not have to cook it himself in the morning. And I got such a giggle 😄 you have a bowl of tomatoes half ripe/half green on the table from the last garden haul just like I do! Lol. Its coming down to the last few and I might just let the chickens enjoy them soon!

I finally found the steel oatmeal, and used your recipe for overnight oatmeal. It burnt all through it. Went exactly by the time of 10 hrs on low and it was half black when I took it out. I saved one bowl from the top but the rest was not edible.

Hiya! Love my crockpot. Glad you did this video. I made lasagna in it this week. It's just me, but I have to eat. Someone else from Cali said it was hot. That's why I "bake" in my crockpot, often outside the house, while I am sleeping. (Work 3rd shift, so sleep in the day.) One thing I really like to do is cook plain beans (really just water). I place cooked beans in ice cube trays (freeze them), then place them in a zip lock bag. I cook rice and do the same thing. Each cube is about a tablespoon. Then I use the cubes in my morning smoothie for a protien boost. Cheap and easy. I won't pay $15 for a can of protien powder. 🤓 Love the oats! Thank you!
