I can even understand it to a degree and would probably have felt the same if Klopp had laid into me, but as a pl you have to accept it comes with the job and you will get criticised and managers will have a go when a bad result can get them the sack. If it shows his decisions were influenced by it which they do appear as if they were when you look at some of decisions he made against Liverpool then his job as a pl ref is untenable. I’m sure he can move abroad, maybe Saudi and continue reffing and earn good money out there.

No Liverpool fan will be surprised by this. Coote, Paul Tierney and Chris Kavanaugh all seem to have had a problem with Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool. The decisions they've given to city over the same time aren't a coincidence either. The pgmol needs to be independently investigated. They're not fit for purpose and there's no transparency over potential conflicts of interest, e.g. referees officiating in the uae.

It's not just LFC fans who need to be concerned. This video has existed for around 5 years, which means those random "mates" have had power over Coote for all of that time. Have they used that power to influence his decision-making in games involving all PL teams? Do they have further video footage of him that is even more compromising? Why was it released now -- didn't a result go in the way his "mates" believed it would? Sports betting can open the door to the possibility of corruption . The PGMOL needs to look into the possibility of blackmail here, not just determine whether Coote is guilty of bringing the game into disrepute

Stupid to allow this video but if Coote believed in these views, he should have recused himself from every Liverpool game. There are many controversial decisions that in a court of law would be circumstantial with regards to intent but factual insomuch as they were definitely wrong, important, and given against Liverpool by this man. That is why the recuse should have happened. They should be seen to be squeaky clean. Mistakes can happen but with VAR there is little excuse. There could be many referees and other clubs similarly inclined subconsciously or otherwise.
