You do an excellent job talking to the camera! It never feels fake, disingenuous, or sensationalized. I know those kinds of videos get more clicks, but I assume those fanbases are temporary and those creators flame out. I believe that these videos will create a real platform and community for you for years to come, so long as you are consistent and continue to be yourself. I think your delivery is a strength. Most videos are someone yelling at you. It's refreshing that yours are straightforward, not gimmicky, and relaxed. You don't have to have your personality pouring out of your eyeballs. My gf loves your videos too because you're so chill and appear to not really give a fuck or try to play into the youtube game, soy face, super excited thing. There is enough of that content. We think you appear authentic, and that is huge. You aren't trying to scam us. Also huge. We have chickens too, so any farm animal content is more than welcome. for me, this channel was a huge shocker in the way it hooked me. I usually don't follow art channels for very long, despite liking art a lot. I love the monotone way you speak, it lends well to making your videos feel like a relaxing talk with a friend, and when you're doing a more comedic video (The turkey one comes to mind) it can create really funny moments. I like when you draw and talk about your animals and show them and I also enjoy hearing about your day and your farm and chores. I thought it was interesting in your farm chores video how you talked about not feeding your barn cats too much because then they might slack off with doing their job hunting mice. I had never thought about that but it does make a lot of sense that they are supposed to hunt for their food and giving them too much food could keep them from doing that and also bring unwanted animals to the farm if they don't eat all the kibble you left out. I also loved in the video where you showed your garden and you talked about things you did to bring predators around to take care of the pests so that you didn't need to use pesticide. I think about you mentioning that quite a bit and would honestly be super interested in hearing more about that. I'm not really good with the creepy crawlies but I did find it fascinating to hear you talk about them and would love to learn more about helpful bugs in gardening! Also I love deep dives so every time you cover a popular animal I've really enjoyed it. The Moo Deng video was really cute and I learned a lot, and I loved your chimp documentary video. I appreciate you sharing your thoughts on animal care and talking about their wellbeing, it gives me some things to think about that I wouldn't have considered (eg, Moo Deng being a meme and tourist stop right now and is the zoo actually caring for her how they should). I've never painted but I think it's super interesting when you share your process, like the layer you paint on the cavas before applying the oils, it looked really satisfying even if I have no interest in painting. I also really liked your redrawing your furry art video, I thought it was nice that you talked about who you were in the past and that you showed kindness to your young self, sure we were all young and cringey once, but seeing you have grace and understanding for that period in your life was very sweet to see. I think back on my younger self and cringe and try to push it from my memory but I should have some compassion for who I used to be and be proud of how far I've come. I don't think you meant for the reflection to be anything to contemplate on but I've definitely thought about how I should be kind to the person I used to be. I honestly like your chill delivery of things, it feels very calming and my brain isn't in overdrive to process what's going on. I usually toss one of your videos on while I'm working or drawing so it's nice to feel like I have a buddy just telling me about their day or something cool they saw or are passionate about. I spent that past 4 years in Georgia on a farm with similar animals you have. Watching your narrations over farm chores and your interactions with the animals are entertaining to me because I'm back in the urban Northeast and miss that atmosphere. That hot water kettle for mixing the horse food was an interesting idea I sent over to my old landlords since they always just sprayed a cold water hose at it. I know there's always something to do on a farm. New things you learn, new vet visits, new projects, and just funny behavior from the animals I wished I had recorded. Maybe talk about how you keep predators out for example? Also the turkey cooking video was a fun watch. I get a lot of joy off trying new recipes myself and love to talk while I'm doing it. This was a ramble but hopefully you can see these are what I appreciated. I feel like a lot of rural living people would see their lives and themselves in this content. I really like listening to you just talking about things you like. Especially while I’m crocheting bcuz I can look away and still keep up with what you’re talking about but when I’m looking at the screen, I get to see your cool artwork and stuff. My favorites are the storytime+sketchbook drawing videos like with the update on Rocky video and the one where you're talking about your pets and their crimes while drawing them. I also enjoy all of the general homestead chore stuff too because it is so real and you're not trying to make it super aesthetic, like you're walking through the process that shows how you truly love your lifestyle but it also shows the hard work that goes on behind it all. I'm a fan of papa meat and it's always fun to watch you guys interact, but I also think you're such a fun personality on your own that you don't need to feel pressured to do things with him just because some might try and push it. Whatever you choose to do going forward, I'm already a fan :) happy new year!

Hey there, long time fan of your husbands and now subscribed to you as well, honestly - just make what you're passionate about. I'm a very silent and quiet person as well, I did enjoy both the art and pet but also just knowledge videos. Your acrylic vs oil video was very helpful! I think videos "pop" the most when it's something you actually want to do. You have an amazing setup already so anything you do will already have the quality aspect down.

I liked the variaty in topics and formats because of your multiple passions. The tier list of the (cartoon) horses was very interesting, but the taken along during farm duties was also very fun. The one where you talk about the documentary and draw along was nice to see you come out of your comfortzone when drawing certain animals. So I would say, keep being you, I think that as long as the passion carries over that the videos will be fun to watch. 😊 All the best wishes for everyone in the new year!🎉

The Turkey episode was great - rollercoaster of emotions! And the deviantart revisit was so fun - looking back on your past experiences/arts and giving that honest critique of yourself while also having fun with any embarrassing or cringe moments was super awesome. But do NOT stop doing drawings/paintings/other art while chit chatting about something. It feels like that's a fantastic base and the heart of what you made the channel for in the first place, and honestly it gives loads of pointers and guidance for those of us starting out or looking to improve ourselves. Doesn't have to be religiously uploaded - don't drain yourself - but maybe having a regular "Painting with Allison" or something like that could be nice. Hell, try out something like a Bob Ross parody.

i really really loved the pet crimes videos and watchin you paint, and i also really like the farm tour videos as well. pretty much everything you've been doing, i really enjoy. your videos are very comforting to me, and often when i'm playing games or doing chores or whatever i look to put videos of yours that i've already seen on in the background. i personally like the monotone voice and the editing and the straightforwardness (?). the cooking video with the turkey was also REALLY cool and i wouldnt mind seeing more content like that either. overall, i've loved everything.

I've been loving your videos and the frequency of them has honestly been perfect. I find that with people that post daily, I slowly end up not watching them because it becomes too much of a time commitment. As a fellow horse girl, I would love for you to continue making horse related content! I really like just listening to you talk about famous animals as well, even if there's no art to go alongside. I just wanted to say you are doing wonderful and to keep on going. I personally love the cozy / homestead content you do. It’s HELLA different from Hunter’s content on his channel(s). If it’s one piece of criticism I have about your content is the editing could be better in the videos where you are jumping from you facing the camera to your POV perspective. Just keep the POV and voice over or visa Versa. Things I would like see on your channel in the future would be more vlog/ farm lifestyle content, maybe a video where you try a new art project (maybe try to do a drawing challenge or try a new medium) and I would love to see more animations. I know it may be taxing to do something of that nature, but that’s what really drew me to your channel was that cozy animation you did with your husband. Anyways hope you have a happy new years. Ive really enjoyed your videos where you draw any animals in your sketchbook and talk about them. The peacefulness of going through your chores while taking care of all the animals on your farm was really nice and I would definitely watch again if there were any updates in the future! Your monotone voice is something I really like too compared to the overzealousness that’s common in a lot of KZbinrs videos. It is relaxing! More cooking videos would be cool too

I really like being able to see the life of an artist - that includes the horse content, the art itself, process, how you go through that. I think the rest of it is part of that. It's inspiring to see how someone who is an artist processes and manages their stuff, not a manicured, over-produced perfect aesthetic vlog that is unachievable and unrealistic.

I like what you've posted so far, even with the kitty stories. i think hearing you talk about anything is pretty good and low effort so you don't have to worry too much for editing. probably show some of your artwork or the current projects you're working on. that's the kind of art media i enjoy. maybe talk art theory or your favorite art movements (mine was art nouveau and Art Deco) since you're also animator, maybe talk shop about your favorite animators and animated shows.

As a primarily inspiring animal illustrator and taxidermist, I adore your content. It can feel difficult to find fellow artists who have a strong focus on animals. I would love to see some more videos with you talking about current or past famous animals working on illustration in the background. I would also adore to see a video about some of your collections/nicknacks. I remember in your room tour you had some taxidermy items and pelts. If you ever do another tier list video I think a movie tier list of dog characters would be very fun. Some experimental art videos would also be cool, like making a zine or woodblock prints.

Okay, I love the drawing content! I think hearing your process of drawing for fun when it comes to animals is great. Honestly, you kicking back with Hunter on your Deviantart was hilarious. You don't need him in your videos to succeed, but I love how he opens you up a bit more and seeing that was great. So keep diving into your old work and breaking it down because it was great.
