I can honestly say that before the Manchester situation, I wasn't a fan or even listened to Ariana's music. All that changed after I observed how she had the strength, LOVE, and compassion to come back on stage weeks after having her world turned upside down! That could have easily put an end to her career. She worked passed the fear and heartbreak so that others and herself, could begin to heal. Because she did it out of love, GOD chose to reward her with someone who adores her(Pete) It's obvious how much they are smitten with each other. He makes her happy! Idk if y’all know this, but a lot of times singers need to alter their natural speaking voice to prevent damage to the larynx. Ariana’s natural speaking voice is very low and uses very little air, which is bad for you over time, as your larynx will tighten and prevent air from flowing freely for singing. Also, raising her voice into her higher register promotes the air flow to her head voice, which is where she sings most of the time (the very high whistle tone and so forth); she needs to compensate for her natural speaking voice by consciously raising it (note consciously; you have to continuously think about it and continue to raise your voice throughout the day/conversation, which is why she isn’t extremely consistent with it). This is an extremely common problem in people learning opera - not speaking with enough air flow or speaking with vocal fry damages the vocal chords, so often during vocal lessons, we are stopped even while speaking to instructors and are told to speak with more air or higher in our range. So maybe it is a little annoying, but it is an exceptionally valid vocal technique. Stop clocking her, lmao.

Did you consider that maybe she was forced to stay in that relationship with Mac, because of his drug problem and emotional blackmail, as she already said, it was toxic, so perhaps the dude was not the saint everyone holds him to be (as we are all flawed, may he rest in peace). I would move on asap as well, if my drug addict boyfriend would disregard any of my attempts to support and get him better, keep doing drugs, crash cars while under the influence and run from the police and expect me to date him nevertheless just because he has mental issues that he doesn't do anything about. And these are just details that got found out, you can never know what actually happened there, but to imply that she had to sacrifice her youth, well being and happiness is hypocritical (100 % you would've never done it if you were in her place) and plain retarded. And furthermore, would you stay in a relationship with someone who was a drug addict before and after being with you, even after trying to assist them with healing? It was literally all over the internet that he got arrested for driving under the influence of substances and crashed his car, then ran away and few days later she broke up with him, which is pretty logical in my opinion. Perhaps he was sober for a while during their relationship, but when he got into them again, what else could've she done? Start it all over again?....why do you people feel like girlfriends have the obligation to mother all sorts of fked up people. Nobody introduces themselves to you as " drug addicts or i have mental issues" ....you find that out later and try to help because you have feelings for that person, but it's impossible to bear the cross of another person as well as your own. +Lumy B I personally am not blaming her for how she lives her life. She tried being there for him, and there were points where he was sober in that relationship. He had the DUI and all, but over the summer, he went to rehab & it so happens he relapsed. He wasn't holding her in that relationship by force. They both had unconditional love for each other, she said that herself.

Some of you guys are being a little too hard on a person going through the trauma of a breakup and has expressed a passion over mental health issues. Mac had them and Pete also has them. Why do you think she has been attracted to guys with mental health problems for? Did you ever think that maybe she has them herself... The double voice thing is most likely from low self esteem and believing she needs to play the role of the girl she thinks men want her to be. At this time, she was in love with a version of Pete she had created herself. (She says this on her 'thank u next' album) Once she realized she couldn't find fulfillment for her personal issues in Mac or Pete, she found it in herself. When she came out with *'Thank u next'* after the break up, she was announcing how she can be an independent woman and stand up on her two feet without having to play any "roles." *'God is a Woman'* is about the woman she wants to be (To create happiness for herself and take the leadership role in a relationship), that is why Madonna inspires her. Also, all those years on Sam and Cat didn't help with the voice changes. She's not as shallow as the character she plays in this interview for sure. I've been stanning her for quite a while to see that. I do agree that she's definitely playing a role here but I also acknowledge that she's changed so much since this interview.
