The worst part of that you're supposed to put open the part that sticks out from sand and clean it out because there's usually sand in it. If you don't, it's a potentially unpleasant eating experience. You're also supposed to clean it out in salt water before boiling to get rid of the fishy smell and can dry it in your freezer for a few days and then sausage it. This makes it less fishy and more palatable, but honestly this sausage was a lost cause as soon as you thought about sausaging it
