Floor is the last Nightwish singer, according to Tuomas. Listening to Floor (doesn't matter what she sings) is extremely addictive.

True, I believe it's in the "please learn the setlist in 48 hours" documentary (but it might be in some other interview) that Tuomas stated that Floor was at the top of a very short list when they needed a replacement for Anette. He was quite certain that the band can not survive another transition like that in the future. Thankfully for us Floor is a keeper.

@@RudyBleeker yea, cant remember which interview that was, but he also basically said if Floor, Emppu, or Marko leave then he will disband Nightwish cause he cant handle it again. And as much as I hope that never happens, I also cant blame him. Dude has been thru so much with that band. But I also truly believe this lineup will last forever. You can tell how much they love each other and enjoy making music together. Never seen a metal band smile more than they do

A little fun fact about Tuomas. Other than the odd collaboration now and then with Marco (the bass guitar player), Tuomas not only writes ALL of Nightwish's lyrics, but he composes ALL the instrument music, as well as ALL the orchestral music that you hear playing in the background of their songs. He is a complete musical genius and will go down as one of this generations greatest composers!! Also, packed into the talent that is Nightwish, ALL the band members also play in other bands at the same time. Every single one of the members, past and present, are super talented artists. I'm a huge Nightwish fan, have been since the beginning when they formed back in 1996, back when you could only get their CDs in the international music section of your local FYE! And like any good parent I introduced my 4 kids, at an early age, to their music.... they're fans too. ;-P As always, listen, appreciate, and enjoy!! God Bless!!!

You mentioned the composition, and you’re so on. Tuomas is the genius behind the music as well as the lyrics. He’s a brilliant composer and poet, and I honestly believe his work with Nightwish (and elsewhere) is going to be heard and loved for centuries lime some of the classical greats.

The recent album "Hvman :||: Natvre", was criticised for having a mostly instrumental second disc, but when you get into it, it's beautiful, especially if you watch it with the fan-made video, Sensei Music Videos, even Tuomas likes it, enough to include it in the Nightwish museum.

Ever Dream will always be the most special NW song to me, not because it's my favorite, but because I discovered Nightwish through their End of an Era DVD, and it was the part at the end where Marco and Tarja come in together that made me lose my breath and realize how beautiful the band is. That moment made me a Nightwish fan for the rest of my life. Floor just absolutely demolishes it too, and it was Ever Dream from this show all those years later where I realized I was wrong to judge. I realized that as beautiful as Tarja was with Nightwish, Floor fit the band in a way that Tarja never did. I realized that not only was Floor made for Nightwish, but Nightwish was made for Floor, it just took a long path to get there. (Please don't hate on me for this, I've always loved Tarja's beautiful voice and I always will, but Floor is exactly what they needed IMHO)

@26:33, Emmpu, the guitarist, (and on stage prankster) walks behind Floor, and pulls the plug on her ear monitor battery pack....you can see her plugging it back in.....then, @27:13, you can see her more or less telling him off....she's 6-5 in those boots....he's 5-3....story is, at a later show, she switched out a beer bottle full of apple juice (which he strongly dislikes), for his regular beer....GOTCHA!!!

The Apple juice prank is true. Troy tells the story in a interview. Troy said he got some of it on him. When Empuu spit it out. An smelled like Apple's the rest of the show. 😄😂

WatSon, you will also notice that whenever Emppu doesn't have fretwork to do, he tends to wander around the stage and touch his bandmates on the arm (gently so that their playing isn't compromised). This is quite interesting - touchy-feeliness isn't a common Finnish trait.

This concert is great to experience for sure. The guy who plays the bag pipes is the 6th member of the band Troy. He plays a variety of instruments....bagpipes , flutes , guitar , e-bow and backup vocals. The first four songs didn’t have that stuff in the music so he was off stage.

Don't sweat the little stuff. Just have fun and tell us what you think and how it makes you feel? First song is "Ever Dream", one of Nightwish's big European hits. As soon as the fans heard the piano intro they knew what was coming. Second song was "Storytime". Listen to it a 2nd time. We will love it also. The tax collector is actual someone who takes your youth away and "I want y my Tears back"! Your tears of joy! Equals your youth. Don't be scared. It's a fun song. A type of bag pipe called a Uilleann pipe played by Troy the only Englishman in the band. He plays many different instruments and sings. Last one was another big European hit called "Nemo". No not the fish! Nemo is Latin for "No one or Nobody". Four more songs today. Onward to "Last of the Wilds" & "Bless the Child". See you then my friend. Beware of Sharks. Stay safe. Great job again! I enjoyed your reaction very much, and most of the band members do also other things, or have solo careers. If you have listened to the Nightwish Concerts and their new album Human:Nature (there are official lyric videos I would love you see react on them), I recommend the TV show Beste Zangers for Dutch TV 2019, and especially the songs that Floor sings. She is an incredible and versatile singer, she is also classically trained. Looking forward to part 3 of your reaction to this concert.

Elementary My Dear WatSon.....The song title you missed was "Ever Dream". That keyboard guy writes and arranges 95% of the music. The second title you missed was " Story Time " ,.You need longer naps ! The Fellow on bagpipes, flute, tin whistle, some guitar and five or six other things is Troy. Glad you enjoyed " Nemo " the final song today. "Nemo " is ICONIC Nightwish, it steered a lot of us who are not Europeans to the band. It got BIG in Brazil and worked it's way north I believe. The pipes are explained by someone else, but I didn't see the Low Whistle explained. Like a Baroque Flute (Recorder) but longer and a variation of Tin Whistles (Troy plays various version of Whistle, also strings . . . Bouzouki and Mandola, 8 strings each, pairs of 4, like a Mandolin, also plays guitar with an E-Bow, and here is singing backing vocals, but the latest album has a front singing song Harvest, and much of the harmony on the newest is him foremost with Marko a bit deeper in his range. Sounds like you're going to have to buy this concert on BluRay/DVD and CD. It's called Showtime, Storytime. I'm enjoying watching you taking the same journey that I did when I fell in love with this band. I first heard them back in 2005 but then they fired their original singer, Tarja, and when Anette joined it just didn't do it for me so I forgot all about them. Until I came across Ghost Love Score with Floor from this concert on KZbin, back in 2014 and have been obsessed ever since! Looking forward to Part 3!

Hard to tell but Emppu "lead guitar" is the prankser.. During the "I want my tears back"song, he cuts across stage like they often do. But, this time he pauses, reaches up to her back and turns off her ear piece in the middle of that song.. In this video you don't actually see him do it, but as soon he goes by, as she is singing, you can see her reaching behind her back trying to turn it back on.. You also see he starts to come back across stage a minute later from left to right.. But she spots him and she spins around staring him down as he tries to move back across stage behind her..

My favorite part is watching the whole prank unfold. Earlier in the song you see Emppu walk up to Troy and put his hand on his back and the two bust out laughing. Troy looks at Floor and giggles while nodding his head, clearly egging him on.

As for Troys instruments ... he starts on his Uillean pipes (irish bagpipes, literally "elbow pipes") in "I want my tears back" and then plays low whistle (a flute) in Nemo. He does sing some pieces as well on the new album, and play tin whistle and some other instruments as well ... a true multi-instrumentalist and composer in his own right. Think I even saw him on a harp somewhere.

Great reaction again. This kind of concert reaction is good way to jump in Nightwish music. If you are planning to do more Nightwish concert reactions, please Tampere 2015 next. It's from Finland (their homecountry) and it is their 20th anniversary concert. If you do this in parts, you have to notice, that the last song is quite long, it's almost 22 minutes.

Dude, I’ve really been enjoying your Nightwish reactions...your joy and appreciation is great! I first heard Floor sing in about 2004 when she was singing for the band After Forever and I think I reacted the same way. The sixth guy they brought in is Troy...if you watch some of their more recent concert videos, he plays a much more prominent role in the band these days.

Try a concert between 2003 and 2005 then 2007 2010 that will give you all 3 singers for Nightwish and expand the songs you have heard as well. One of the best songs Tarja did was Phanrom of the opera.

I definitely know what you mean -- there is no The Most Favorite song, every NW song is different and awesome in its own way, and for every mood you can find a dozen Nightwish songs that will suit you ;) Of course you'll have a number of songs you'll be listening more often, in my case they are Storytime, Wish I Had An Angel, She Is My Sin and Élan (first three you already heard by now, the last one is from Floor's first NW album Endless Forms Most Beautiful from 2015). If you want to watch something again -- sure do! You can't imagine how many times I've already seen this show, and it gets me every time like the first time. I am sure I'm not alone in this) Now, about the keyboardist -- you are correct, Tuomas, pronounced Tu-omas, with stress on a second syllable. He is a composer and a songwriter for almost all Nightwish songs. And fasten your belts -- you are just starting your Nightwish path, there is soooo much more, trust me! ;) Today's setlist was: Ever Dream (Tarja era) Storytime (Anette era) I Want My Tears Back (Anette era) with this song you were introduced with Troy, The multiinstrumentalist. In this song he plays Uilleann Pipes. He also plays guitar, flute, tin whistle and More, and also sings. Nemo (Tarja era) here Troy plays tin whistle.

Lol, I'm commenting to you after Storytime. So feeling Euphoric yet? 🥳😉 This band is a bucket list must see live even once in a lifetime kinda atmosphere, spirits are high with audience and the band, and both feed each other. And if you are lucky enough to get a backstage pass or Meet and greet you can talk to them just like normal people. They are humble, and no one has ego's in the way. Band is known for giving fans the time and answer probably same questions about Gzillion times in world tour. Idk if you have seen any documentaries by NW yet, But there's couple good ones. Please learn the setlist in 48hrs(tells about time when Anette was fired and Floor came to fill in mid tour) Also Making of Endless Forms Most beautiful documentary is about their new album, 1st where all the songs were done for Floor's voice in mind.

That was one thing I always wanted to back when I was reacting, but never got around to it. BUT! I am back and have a Nightwish reaction dropping on Monday. I'll slowly work my way back to concerts and then a documentary of its still a topic of interest!

Good reaction videos mate, just a tip, you can use the arrow keys on your keyboard to fast forward or rewind at 5 second increments, or you can use the letters J and L to skip 10 second increments, also you can control the volume with up and down arrow. It's easier than trying to click backwards with a mouse on a lengthy video like this one.
