Decided to do a scrappy,striped,seed stitch cowl neck sweater from a pattern I love in 70s. Went looking for all the yarn, found 2 unfinished sweaters,one don't need the pattern as in home stretch of last sleeve but none of the 5greens match it. The other is alpaca knit as solid as pea coat and needle is pulled out,was only to arm holes. I searching found the sharpening stone with yarn, jeans of all sizes from last 15 years,3 hooded sweatshirt,2have never seen before,piles of fabric and the summer blankets wanted 4yrs ago. Have decided need only underwear the rest of my life. Is down to 85 at 1930 here and now must clear discoveries from the bed before collapse. The adventures of craft hoard!!

Hi Cheryl. Oh, the joy of re-discovery, and thinking of new uses for previously allocated yarn. That sounds like a good day's "pottering". Ooh, that's warm - hope you are able to stay comfortable as you sort thought your stuff. What a lovely mixture of things you found - it must have felt like a treasure hunt! Thanks so much and take care xx

Thanks for another crafty episode, as always!! I like your new spin in the “sea Glass”. And that yarn Himself got you with the wonderful softness should surely become a cowl! Beautiful makes, I like how the poncho turned out and so clever of you to use the cable cross areas for your button holes. That’s a tip to remember! My daughter and I are attempting a crochet jacket, actually, she is crocheting, I am advising….. (oh, Mom!).. great to see you, and will catch you next time.

Forgot to say - it wasn't the cable crosses that became the button holes - it's just the gaps between the long stitches - very useful in crochet xx

Thanks for the shout out Lesley. The poncho almost qualifies for 2 entries but what a brilliant way to use up all that yarn. I made a shorter poncho last winter and wore it so much I definitely need to make another one, maybe even crochet one 🤔 I have some Forest Aran too and a couple of viewers suggested that knitted on a traditional aran it grew a lot and they had treated it more like a DK and it behaved better and didn't stretch as much. Take care xx
@NotQuiteEnoughYarn4 ай бұрын
Ooh = good to know - many thanks. I shall look for DK (or, at the outside, Worsted) patterns for the Forest Aran yarn. Hope you are well and enjoy planning your next poncho. Crochet certainly wins for speed and easy of trying on. Take care xx

Thank you for another great podcast! I love the poncho/cape. It looks fantastic on you. I especially like how the varigated color at the bottom kind of looks like a lace border from a distance. I live in a part of the world that also has a "North Berwick," but we pronounce it burr-wick. I'm hoping to visit your part of the world someday and will have to rember it's different there so I don't make a fool of myself. (We're heathens. We also have a "Calais" that is pronounced cal-ess. 😂)
@NotQuiteEnoughYarn5 ай бұрын
Hi. Don't worry - most British people can't do all of the pronunciations - eg Belvoir in Derbyshire should be said as "Beaver in Darbysheer". We haven't got a chance - too many regional variations. Thanks so much and take good care xx

If you've already added a pic to your project page and you want to show it in the MAL, click on the picture icon (in the line above where you type, small blue -ish square ,5th from the left) Click on "use a project or stash photo" and it will bring up the most recent pics that you've posted to Ravelry. Select the one you want and click "use this photo". I hope that all makes sense - shout if it doesn't work. Thanks and take care xx
