Great video, I’ve been catching quite a few this week on top water early morning and around dusk. Using whopper ploppers mainly. But used a buzz bait today and caught my first fish on a buzz bait. Hope you feel better soon.

I was fishing a Bone colored Choppo last week. Strikes out the wazoo, but no hook ups. So I changed the color to a silver under black and whacked them. Turn around throwing a white buzz bait and short strikes. Changed to a black buzz bait and it was on. I put 17 lbs in my boat.

When they’re running bait up on the bank occasionally I keep a popper ready to go. I actually threw a shallow running crankbait to one chasin yesterday and bass got it before I could crank it down. Overall very tough day tho yesterday

I caught 16 bass today in my river in Ohio. They were smashing the square bill crankbait in chrome sexy shad. Also got some on a popper, shakey and t rigged craw, fluke, and wacky! 😂 I think they would of bit anything today.

Whopper poppers are popular today, but buzzbaits have always been a favorite of mine. Single-hook applications don't require a specialized rod, so the buzzbait might be more practical for many. It certainly was to me in my youth, when my arsenal was on a budget, and my “goto” medium-heavy rod would do the trick. I’ve caught fish on them year-round and always have one tied on a rod. Disclaimer: I've caught my PB on one twice in my life, so my opinion may be a bit biased. 😁

Absolutely the zoom horny toad works well. Sometimes if that is not working I’ll use my secret weapon which is a beast coast blade runner. I have caught some absolute giants with that trailer on the back of a teckel maxqueaker
