The main thing about Itachi is all his feats are done without intent to kill or showcase his true strength. He is literally one of the few actual shinobi in the series. He always has a backup plan, is a jack of all trades(arguably master of all), and always hides his true intentions. I personally believe it's hard to say for certain where his talents cap out. I believe he was written in a way that was meant to keep the reader guessing and never display his full fighting profile.

Bad Mojo the main thing about Itachi is Kishi. He is an Uchihatard and Itachi is one of his faveorites. He himself admitted he likes Uchihas very much and it affected his writing and almost ruined the plot specially Shitpuuden where everything is about Uchihas and nothing really matters. He had to sort things out and may be did a lot of retcons. He gave them too much IQ and OP jutsu. It is ridicoulus and sickening. For orochimaru, don't forget that Itachi cut off his arm when he tried to take the sharingans. But speaking of orochimaru beating hiruzen, don't forget that hiruzen was in his 60s or even 70s. To me it seems like the only reason Kisame said what he did in part 1 is because they were actually trying to keep a low profile and not fight anyway. I don't remember exactly what they were in Konoha for but it wasn't to start an all out war. Fighting Jiraya would've at least drawn a major amount of attention and that wasn't the goal.

I think when Jiraiya faced Itachi and Kisame, the intent of the writer was to imply that he could actually solo them. This was a Sannin hype moment that never paid of because THEN POWERCLIFFING HIT REALLY HARD so Jiraiya ended up being really weak compared to a lot of people, he scales more to the bottom half of Akatsuki. I still think he could probably take Kisame if he has intel on him, but Itachi, no way, Itachi blinks him to death, though maybe Sage Mode could help, I dunno. Honestly even Orochimaru looks really weak when compared to later Shippuden/War Arc people, like War Arc Gaara could probably wipe Orochimaru, War Arc Kakashi just laughs at him and throws a billion chidoris at him.

I love how 'real' Jiraiya's style is. Even as one of the strongest, he never feels OP. It always feels like he's one good hit away from getting killed but he overcomes. His technique list feels like stuff he's picked up over a lifetime of ninja-ing, be it all his frog stuff or his hair jutsus or various elemental attacks or his genjutsu. Others, like I dunno, Itachi or Kisame feel like they were born knowing all their techniques since they all follow a strict theme. At Jiraiya's best, he can beat Kage level dudes yet he does so with all sorts of smaller jutsus that just make him feel real, I dunno. I feel like I could drop a piano on Naruto and he'd just say OW OW OW and have a bump on his head, Jiraiya I could slash with a kitchen knife if it weren't for the speed and timing hes developed over a lifetime to where he turns ME into a kitchen knife with genjutsu

Kisame is a hard counter for Bee because of samehada since all of his attacks will steal chakra and Bee becomes a bigger target as he transforms so its easier for kisame to steal it. The raikage has better speed feats since we never got to see him use samehada against 7th gate guy who also had to severely hold back with his hirodora to not kill him. The raikage is also lightning style and worth one arm could shatter sasuke susano rib cage so one hit from him is a severe injury to kisame and unless kisame can hit the raikage (which is pretty unlikely given Kisame doesnt have enough speed feats with samehadas swing speed to say so). But his whole water prison jutsu could work but you could also say that the raikages lightning style would electrocute the entire sphere and damage kisame in it. But again, this is also my opinion. Just wanted to give my 2 cents ✌

That statement that Itachi made was a lie to deceive Kisame, Itachi already destroyed a sanin at the age of 13 why would he say he or Kisame would die vs JIraiya? That makes no sense. Itachi was at the leaf village to threaten Danzo as stated by Obito, Itachi was not going to capture the 9 tails, someone who killed his whole clan to protect the village, sacrificed his life to protect the leaf, even joined the akatsuki in the first place to protect the leaf, let alone made a deal with Obito to make the sure leaf village is off limits, isn't going to go and capture the leafs 9 tails, that makes 0 sense. I feel like Jiraya would stand a good chance, IF he gets the chance to summon the 2 elder toads and enter sage mode. Once that happens he can totally pull it off. He never has to open his eyes since he can sense everything (same goes for both toads), so no genjutsu advantage for Itachi. He would easily keep up in speed and absolutely dominate in taijutsu due to way superior strength, durability and of course frog kumite. Normal Ninjustu would also be in his favor. Itachi sure as hell wouldn't want to take a hit from any of Jiraya's senchakra enhanced jutsus. Itachi's only chance would be his mangekyo abilities and we all know he wouldn't be able to use them for long due to his condition. Still, amaterasu and especially his susanoo with the stupidly overpowered shield and sword would still be incredibly dangerous. Once both are going all out it's mostly a matter of whether or not Jiraya can avoid amaterasu and Susanoo long enough until Itachi breaks down from using his own abilities. Again, all of this is me assuming that Jiraya even gets the chance to enter sage mode. Worst case scenario he looks into Itachi's eyes once and it's gg before he can even do much.

Jirayia is a bit weaker but not like Itachi could destroy him lol Itachi could destroy Orochimaru because hes his cryptonite. Itachi has a great awareness and never underestimates opponents. In Taijutsu Jiraiya would probably be much stronger than Itachi as he has Senjutsu and Itachi relies more on mid range attacks. Jiraiya wouldnt have a chance against susanoo as he wouldnt be strong enough to break it. Also Jiraiyas swamp of the underworld would easily be nullified by the shield.

While Jiraiya fricking turned the main character in to a bad ass, not only did he influence naruto, he influence and trained minato, fricking train and influence nagato, also was a big part of orichimaru and tsunadae,... who were all a big part of influencing naruto,not to mention his first book was a huge influence to naruto which his name literally comes after. his sensei became hokage his friend became hokage his student became hokage his student's student became hokage his other student beacme hokage (his fricking students child became hokage) ANd most of all he was the (biggest) influence\trained\hand down his dream of\to the guy who brought peace to the shinobi world

You could even look at things this way. The big behind the scenes antagonist in the original Naruto story line is Orochimaru. Orochimaru has this giant plan to infiltrate the leaf using the exams and then attacks the exams and fights the hokage. He does all of this in order to get a shot at snatching up Sasukes body to claim it for his own. He goes through ALL of this effort because it's easier to do this than for him to try and face off against Itachi again.

It was put into plan because there was literally only one other person that he knew of with Sharingan who's body he could snatch. Additionally, even with Orochimaru saying that, he's basically wrong. Sasukes normal Sharingan wasn't any more powerful than Itachi's (or at least we're not lead to believe Sasuke himself was more powerful) and Sasukes Mangekyō Sharingan, so far as we're shown, was literally only half of what Itachi's was. I say this because Itachi gained Tsukuyomi and Amaterasu, while Sasuke only gained Amatersu. I'm excluding Susanoo as it would seem any Uchiha that awakens both Mangekyo also awakens a Susanoo. Sasuke was basically gifted any of his special powers such as Rinnegan.

@@mariball74 1. Itachi would never have perfect susanoo due to his chakra reserves even if he was alive, healthy and nicely slept. Perfect susanoo is dependent on the users chakra; sasuke and kakashi got ps due to 6paths chakra, while madara was stated to be gifted and have strong chakra, and shown with good reserves allowing him to awaken 2 rinnegans+brokenly output god level powers even as an edo (2 meteorites) 2. Itachi again could never awaken a rinnegan, due to his chakra reserves. Awakening this dojutsu requires the person to be reincarnations of hagoromos sons + have a capable body of handling it + exceptional reserves. Itachi has neither. Using ur logic Obito and Danzo would be walking around with 10 rinnegans.... maybe if you use ur sperm from circle jerking and set up a ritual alter, he could awaken rinnegan😀 3. Figuring out Chibak tensei isn’t a feat... he still needed naruto+bee to destroy that🤦‍♂️ That was also plot convenience as they didn’t want to go through the whole explanation and break down of tendo pains ability all over again + itachi was within the same organisation as him for several years and would have an idea of his abilities at the very least. 4. Again if neither bee or naruto were there Nagato wouldn’t have gotten blinded + immobilised, or “blitzed”, itachi would’ve also been long gone before and sealed inside a rock. 5. This “auto counter” mode refers to pure instinct the user once had when they were alive (just like how madara fought blind against naruto, sai, hashi, etc. before he got sm ofcourse), it doesn’t have their decision making and choreographed planned out moveset they would’ve usually had when they were alive, edo tenseis are also weaker than their original bodies when they were alive. And it was already stated and shown that Kabuto was the one actively controlling him, and was essentially kabuto remotely fighting itachi, naruto and bee. And again had already been stated that he didn’t have a clue about his moveset, “I wonder what else he can do” so all of Nagatos dexterity that he developed over the years were thrown out the window🤦‍♂️ kabuto himself stated that Nagato was immobilised and that’s how itachi got to stab him.

i know i'm late on watching this video but in naruto episode 83 when itachi and kisame are out to capture naruto and sees jiraya with him itachi himself says that "if we face each other both of us will be killed" and he further says that "even if there are more of us(i.e. beside itachi and kisame) the result would still remain thee same". So, considering that statement and as you mentioned that itachi didn't even knew about sage mode, i think the fight between jiraya and itachi will be much closer than shown here. I've watched a lot of your VS videos and in mostly you make a fair comparison but i think in this case you are underestimating jiraya way too much.

I can pretty much say that you guys do this video is mainly for the purpose of fan service (for Itachi fans only btw) and fanboying over Itachi. Do you think it is kind of unfair to hype Edo Itachi 70% of the video then just swept his weakness when alive under the rugs... Ofc he have. Tsukuyomi work only on alone person. Sasuke used high level of Genjutsu on Bee and lost front of his chest because eight tail just woke him up. Ma and Pa can do same thing. Amaterasu work only on people who sit in one place, hardly Jiraiya. Susanoo is first problem, but senjutsu based attack are very good vs this. Kabuto control over both nagato and Itachi is very shit so that edo tensei dont matter since Jiraiya was never resurrected. So edo tensei compere make no sense.
