And me saying "yeah I did it, I thought he was somebody else" just to troll the interviewer and suddenly I officially admited I killed 2pac therefor I must go to court? What am I missing here?

@ryckarduhryckarduh1806 ай бұрын
@@SuiteVII first of all thanks for replying, but still, arent rappers always doing their best to look cool or bad-ass or whatever even on interviews? I can see it happening if they tell something that only the murderer would know, I guess but aside from that everything they say is always questionable. Its like - is it true you murdered 10 people? - hell make it 30 And now you're in court trying to prove you didnt mean it. Its very odd
@lazure6946 ай бұрын
@@ryckarduhryckarduh180I guess that's true but SuiteVII's point still kind of stands. The celebrity still tries to sell an image even on interviews, so this image must be in line with what they present when performing. The other thing is that, if the interviewed person makes a claim that warrants criminal investigation, they can always just deny said things and go to court with a reasonable case. The judiciary system can be a prick and people can try to sabotage cases like these but you're not really defenseless against any charges.
@JaylanOfc6 ай бұрын
@@ryckarduhryckarduh180 I would say that because music can be used as artistic expression, so there are a lot of legal hoops you would have to go through to make a case, meanwhile in an interview, you would be expected to be honest - I've heard lots of jokes/bold comments about killing people from rappers that never go anywhere but in the case of Vlad's interviews; they're just straight up dry snitching talking about details.
@Tyler74127883 ай бұрын
It’s actually the same for both music and interviews. You can always claim you were talking yourself up in an interview and making stuff up for entertainment and that’s also how a lawyer will fight it. It’s when there’s irrefutable evidence that corroborates what was said that they get into trouble, which also goes for music. You just see it with interviews more often because interviews are more direct and frank compared to a song. But both songs and interviews are hard to bring into play regardless for prosecutors because of the entertainment argument and they’ll usually be thrown out

here's the thing though. In hip-hop culture, telling is forbidden. Vlad is CONSTANTLY trying to get people involved in it to commit the cardinal sin of the culture: SNITCHING. Be it on themselves or other people, Vlad spends way too much time fishing for information that can and will be used by a court of law as evidence. True at the end of the day what you said is correct, but at the same time when you want to be a "Guest in the House of Hip Hop" as he calls it, you have to follow the landlord's rules. Vlad will deadass ask an up and coming street rapper a hypothetical question like “let’s say someone murdered your grandma, in front of you, and it was a rival gang member, you wouldn’t talk to the police?”
@xbabu142x6 ай бұрын
Then he wants validation on him supporting street rappers. So beyond cringe. After what he did to Lord Jamar I was done paying for a membership. How do you call, someone your friend and do that nonsense to him? Then trying big words about what not. Like seriously Vlad is wild on that, my dad taught me how to respect someone and he said if I was calling someone a friend I better be respecting them. After all I seen that dude do for this guy, he can't even be bothered to show respect to the minister Farrakhan?

I don't think that Vlad is a bad critic. But his main issue is he's built an enterprise off of a culture outside of the one he grew up in. I think it's just par for the course that people don't like everything that comes out of his mouth
@CesarR10376 ай бұрын
Yeah I agree. Plus it’s not like he forces people to be on his show or even to answer his questions. Plenty of examples of him asking something and the person refuses to speak on it. Still, I don’t like a lot of his opinions, but that’s separate. Some people just don’t like him cuz he’s white.

@@CuriousClover yeah but I think that’s a slightly different situation. Em isn’t sticking a camera in peoples faces asking them very personal questions and vlad kinda is. Plus em is undeniably talented, where hip hop would be relatively the same if vlad never came along. Outside of a few things, vlad tends to take more than give to the culture.

All due respect, the back-and-forth he had with the Professor Merkin was unnecessary, but only when it came to her approach. Firstly, Vlad was way outta pocket for how he addressed the situation. However, she was wrong for making the issue about "race" (Western construct used to assert dominance and instill inferiority amongst disenfranchised ppl) when he simply criticized the mix on the song. It was stupid, but, as an audio engineer I understood. I could understand if he attacked Kendrick for dissing his Jewish brethren, but, he didn't. Issues like these show how left the battle went when fans or critics take it outside the music. P.S. My bad for the paragraph. 😂😂😂😂😂

Anyone saying Vlad is a bad man because he only invites people on when there’s drama involved, do you not see that’s exactly what our new channels do? Vlad is well aware that drama will always get more clicks and views than someone talking about themselves in a boosting manner for two hours.complaining like it’s bad that he only brings people on when there’s activity in their career is so stupid. What would there be to talk about for two hours with someone who has nothing going on in their career?? Nothing

Vlad deserves criticism for his content. With that said, Morgan Jerkins doesn’t need to speak on him or anybody in the hip hop space at all as flippantly as she did. He only commented on the mix of the record, and to say that a record that is being publicly consumed doesn’t need to be commented on by him is beyond stupid on her part. As usual, she gets a pass.

I mean they can refuse to answer his questions. Plenty of people do, look at the interviews with boosie. It’s his job to get info cuz it gets clicks, as with any other interviewer. Look at the breakfast club, the art of dialogue, no jumper, etc. is vlad corny? Yes. Is he for his own bag? Absolutely. But it’s more the fault of people that consume his content, they’re keeping him afloat and relevant.

Reason why Morgan Jerkins was telling him to stop contacting her family is because she’s producer Darkchild’s niece. It’s bad for business to mess with one of hip hop and R&B’s biggest producers.
