Just gotta let it come back further brah! I know you know where that balance point is. It’s pretty deep on this bike. Smoother slower throttle inputs and let her come up 👍😎

Youre actually one of the first person who’s given me actual good advice. The balance point on the RVE is different compared to my KLX (different wheelbase). I’ve been slowly going higher and higher and not full send it and wreck my shit. With wheelies, it’s all about seat time. The vid uploads are delayed. At this point I’m nearing the balance point t and comfortable with rear break. I appreciate the good advice. Welcome to the channel and don’t forget to sub and hit that Thumbs up.

@@ClutchFirst I totally get not rushing it. You’re right in that sweet spot for 2nd gear clutch up 25-30 mph. For 3rd 40-45 is the sweet spot . I do find 2nd is a little short if you don’t get balance point early. 3rd will give you a lot more rpms to chase it if you need it. I’d also say try banging a gear when 2nd taps out, the quick shifter is amazing for wheelies on this bike.

@@MotardPilot dropped you a Sub! 3rd gear is a bit tough to get it up on my end. Maybe it’s me. How are you liking your exhaust? Waiting on my SC Project exhaust.

@@ClutchFirst it takes a lot of commitment and the right clutch pop. Performance and sound wise I LOVE it it’s aggressive and loud. I’m not super happy with the cans as the carbon is discoloring from the heat turning a bronze color. Maybe that’s just a bike issue and not exhaust but I just haven’t seen carbon discolor from high exhaust temps.

Are you at all pushing down on your handlebars kind of like a BMX bike before popping up? I think that subtle movement might help.

Might give an extra second of lift but the best is to clutch up

Nah, I’m not yanking on the handlebar and all. A good clutch up should bring up the bike without any efforts. I just need a little more seat time. Thank you for the advice. Sub and hit that thumbs up to follow the progress.

100% agree. A good clutch up should do the trick with zero effort on the handlebar.

you should be using 2nd gear learning to wheelie. every reaction happens much slower and calmer. I suggest you stay away from getting in the habit of using 1st.

Thanks for the tip. I practice 1st, 2nd and 3rd. I understand what you're saying though but it's all about the individual. 1st is extremely abrupt and it helped a lot with memorizing my rear brake reaction time. I wouldn't suggest it for everyone though. By the time I was clutching up in second, it was like second nature and it felt like things are happing way slower. Again, I wouldn't suggest it for everyone. Subscribe to help the channel grow.

Slow wheelies seem to be much more technical right?
@ClutchFirst4 ай бұрын
They require a lot more focus since the front goes up very aggressively.

@@Michael92X Yeah man, I figured. It’s a learning process and I’m doing it solo. Getting better daily with each session. Any tips? Appreciate you watching.

@@ClutchFirst I recommend starting the wheelie at a relatively low RPM. You need to be below the torque peak; in first gear, throttle fully without using the clutch, and you'll see the bike lift. Keep doing this exercise until you reach the balance point. Once you've reached it, mentally focus on pressing the rear brake pedal (even if you don’t need it, do it to build muscle memory). Close the throttle. Do this several times until the movement becomes second nature. Afterward, the next level is not to close the throttle anymore. Once you reach the balance point, maintain a constant RPM. Remember, listening is another important reference: the sound of the engine is crucial to understanding if you are too high in the power band. The higher the RPM, the more aggressive the bike will be when you accelerate. Please remember to use protective gear. Looking forward to the next videos!

@@Michael92X solid advice. I usually practice these exact drills on my KLX. I appreciate ya!
