My husband and I adore your content- it’s so relaxing and gentle and funny, but also genuinely useful for trip planning. I would die to see you come to the US and do some videos! Go to the Cove Haven champagne tower rooms in the Poconos, or try a lodge out by Yellowstone or the Grand Tetons or Glacier National Park, or visit the Shack Up Inn in Mississippi, the Madonna Inn in California, or Hotel Monteleone in New Orleans. Lots of iconic and offbeat options. ❤

Thanks for another great video. This ryokan looks amazing - the food, the baths, the rooms. At first I thought that it is too big and therefore not that nice, but thats really not the case. So I will add it to my long list of places I want to visit in Japan. Not related to this video: I very much like your channel, for many reasons. But since I know that you dont speak to the staff, I am not so sure anymore if I want to continue to watch your channel. Not speaking to people, is extremely disrespectful everywhere in the world. And in Japan, where respect is so important, that must be absolutely disgusting. Dont you care about those people will feel ? I have lost a lot of respect for you, since I know that. I can totally understand that you want to remain private, but you could also speak to the staff, and still keep your privacy. I mean, we dont hear any person speaking in your videos anyway.
@madamenicoleNY19 күн бұрын
How do you know this? Perhaps they speak off camera to remain private. I don’t require the knowledge of your exit strategy to this magnificent and well-thought channel. Good day.
@dragondawn42019 күн бұрын
I'm fairly sure they speak to the staff; they just don't include it in the finished video. Partly it's because the esthetic of their videos is no voices, only ambient sounds, partly for privacy reasons. You notice you never see their faces, either - it's to ensure privacy as well as being their filming style. There's many travel vloggers who do the same thing, it's not unusual or rude behavior from the It's Time To Travel duo.
@swissfoodie354219 күн бұрын
@@dragondawn420 I have watched many videos from this channel, in one video, it was very clear that they dont speak to the staff. Maybe and hopefully, that is not the case in all of the videos from them.
@dragondawn42018 күн бұрын
@@swissfoodie3542 I'm not sure what you mean by it was very clear they don't speak to the staff. Every video of theirs has interactions with staff, but as I said before, they edit the conversations so the only speech is what's needed to convey information (such as when a hotel staff member shows them to their room and reviews the amenities). The video is not an unedited version of the trip. It is edited to remove all extraneous conversation. That is why you think the Time To Travel couple don't speak to the hotel staff they encounter, but that is not the case.
@areareare995318 күн бұрын
Uh, they are filming the staff with permission - the staff is telling us, the viewer, what we can expect. It's supposed to be as if *we* were the ones in the room, not the posters. This is all set up ahead of time, with permission - that's why the baths are empty when they are filming. It's absolutely nothing to do with being rude - they are probably talking off camera with the staff and management all the time as to how to set up the shots in the room/baths/open access areas. This is supposed to be a kind of virtual reality experience for the viewers - I'm baffled you think they are just randomly going around to ryokans and staring at the staff in cold silence.
