Oh, you are brave to sleep in that big room with unknown people! I LOVED the speeded up forklifts and people scurrying about. I have a guess that the eggs are meant to be a handle to grab onto if the sea is rough! I really enjoy your videos. I am looking forward to when I can travel to Japan and ride the rails and the ferries in person. But for now, I hope you keep bringing us your travels.

I took a ferry from Naha to Osaka sometime around 1974~75, during the Okinawa Expo. Very memorable experience. As a teenager with very little money I of course chose the cheapest room; probably about 30 people in one large area. Kind of fun, but the ferry at that time was quite small and boy did I get seasick. I think friends of mine called it the "gero fune" (vomit boat) 🤢. As an adult I ended up living in Japan for almost a decade, but never took another ferry. Probably because of my bad experience. But after watching your cool videos I am inspired to travel back to Japan and try again. This time will be Maizuru to Otaru in a room with a veranda 😊.....

What a fantastic way for novices to try sail/cruise type of transportation to see if they like it or not. Your vlogs are so detailed it is so pleasurable to watch your adventures. Oh, wow! You spoil us again. You timed it right with the weather - spring has arrived in Japan! That was a really lovely trip around the islands and thank you for taking us along. The forklifts doing their thing could be set to a Strauss waltz LOL. As for the cow, it seemed pretty chilled out or bewildered. I don't know What I love about your videos is that you try a bit of everything on your journeys around Japan and it does not fail to impress. Those sleeping quarters looked like a comfy place to crash out. The last time I slept in something resembling a mixed room on a ferry was many years ago from Holyhead in Wales to Dun Laoghaire in Ireland - the room in question was in a lounge bar with comfy seats and one of my bags for a pillow 🤣 on an 8 hour journey across the Irish sea, which could be anything but smooth. Maybe things have greatly improved since then, I don't know. It has to be said, you wonderful Japanese have everything - including transport - down to a fine art! Please keep up the great work.

That sunset was fabulous! 🌅 I really enjoyed your voyage. It all looked amazing except... your accommodations! I can't imagine sleeping in a room of strangers and may have been tempted to sneak into a capsule 😄. But really it was interesting to see how much work the crew has and what it's like to see the working of the ferry. The food was amazing too. Your videos are getting more and more professional. I've thought of a suggestion that would help the first time viewers. If you would put a notice, in English, at the start of your videos, that explained that subtitles must be turned on and that you have a choice of languages. This would help a first time viewer. And explain that you don't talk because people don't think about subtitles unless they here talking.

Another great travel vlog! Too bad about no arcade. Are the newer ferries being built without them? First time I’ve seen so many forklifts moving cargo containers in and out. Looks like a tough job as the drivers spend as much time driving forwards as backwards. I wonder if that egg shaped thing on the end of the tables is to hang a purse or backpack? There were some nice shots using lighting. Great camera work 😊 Thank you for sharing ❤️👍

Maru-A a competing ferry company that runs from Kagoshima to Naha, is a famous ferry company that has only 15 minutes of restaurant opening hours in the morning(5:30-6:00), noon(12:30-13:00), and night.(17:00-17:30) It seems that the business hours have been extended to one hour due to many complaints from passengers.

Great trip, Itsuka. Yes, Ferry with multiple stop like this is very rare. But for passenger ship, I think it's common. In my country we have many passengers ship where they route have multiple stop and the duration time is many days even close to two weeks. As far as I know, only 2 ship who has vehicle deck, mostly are passenger ship with container deck on the front.
