i’d honestly love sage kind of green for the pros after seeing the sierra blue. the regular 13 colour lineup was kind of disappointing with how great all the 12 colours were, hopefully they’ll bring back the purple.

Great overview of the line-up, Sam. They're offering pretty good trade in prices on the Apple Store site as well. That, combined with the prices not going up from the 12 Pro Series, I am more tempted than I first thought I would be. Of course you've got to get the ProMax for 4K ProRes 422 (and 1TB to hold all that footage), so it seems like if you shoot lots of iPhone video, you get a lot of camera for the price, but you totally need the absolutely fully spec'd out model.

@@gxs8p578 depends on what’s important to you. The 12 Pro had less battery than the 11 pro, that’s why I skipped it. The 13 pro has more battery life, better chip, better cameras, new form factor, 120hz screen. Those are enough reasons for me to upgrade from the 11Pro.

Also to note: T-Mobile and Verizon are offering up to $700 off with trade-in and AT&T offering up to $1000 off with trade-in on their AT&T Next ($2.75/month for 36 months). Did a check with my XS Max with trade-in and I get the full $1000. In the end, I'd only technically pay $99 for a Pro Max 128GB which is a ridiculous deal.

Yes, definitely an interesting deal but in order to get it you have to join their unlimited plan and in order to get the full value of that $1000 credit, you need to remain with that carrier for 3 years. If you don't plan to leave and you are happy with your carrier, it can be worth it. That said, having to join an unlimited plan is where they get their money back from you.

@@KadMac25 I apologize for omitting that. As I've been on their unlimited plan for some time now; it became a biased "no-brainer" on my part. Most go for the unlimited plans now anyways especially if they have multiple lines (which is my case); though yes it is a bit of a gamble due to being locked into it for 3 years. That's why I've also elected to go with the Next-Up plan so that half way through I can then upgrade to the 14 (especially if Prosser's design is to be believed then it's an even more enticing deal with the devil).

This might sound dumb of me but the only reason I’m going with 13 mini instead of the 13 pro is because of the pink color option. I was originally planning to get the 13 pro, as the ProMotion display was something I’ve been looking forward to all year. But as much as I hate to pass up on 120hz, the standard 13 models finally come in a pink color, which I’ve been waiting for them to bring back for literally forever now. The last time we’ve had a color option like that was with the iPhone 7 (although the 8 was kinda pinkish too). If only I could have the best of both worlds🤔😭

@@sq9779 Main sensor is really close the lens are same, the f stop is literally same only 0.1 faster, the sensor size is nearly same pro has 1/1.65" after calculating so not huge considering android trends. So yeah if you only care about main sensor its almost 98% same.

There’s a difference between the two pro phones, the 128 gb versus 256 has a capability difference when shooting the new pro res video. The 128 gb version only shoots 1080/30 , the 256 has more capacity so shoots better version. The only way to see this is to do a side by side comparison on the Apple store app.

@@mxtafsa well the iphone 11s camera is not as good as the 13 pro max and also only has 60 hz display while iphone 13 pro mac has 120h and promotion display. iphone 11 had 17 hours of play back video while the iphone 13 pro max has 28 hours of play back video, which is a huge jump for battery. the iphone 13 pro max would also feel different since it has the flat edge squared design and the iphone 11 has the round edge rounded design. and there’s other feature i could go on about. but it might not seem like a good upgrade but in reality it is

Really want to buy the iPhone 13 pro max! With the 1TB option, but just don’t know to hold off till next September for the 14 pro max, currently got the iPhone 11 Pro Max, 512GB and I’ve used around 360gb memory, and it running perfectly fine

Firstly, the standard and pro cameras were NOT the same on previous model iPhones. Moreover, the camera is not a great reason to opt for the pro. I’ve spent some time on both the standard 13 and the pro, and the only feature that’s worth the additional $200 is the 120hz display. The extra gpu core is primarily for that promotion display, and won’t be noticeable otherwise; your gaming and all other viewing activities will be indistinguishable from the performance of the standard 13, except the 120hz will make your scrolling a little smoother and more comparable to premium android flagships (however I will say that Apple squeezes the most toothpaste out of the 60hz toothpaste tube: the standard 13 display looks incredible and you only notice the difference after you’ve been on the pro a while and switch back). Imho if you need to have the 120hz display, go for the pro. No other feature will register to 99% of consumers. There is virtually zero difference in performance between the two phones. The differences in camera quality between the standard and the pro are negligible to all but the most serious camera junkies, and if you’re that serious about photography you’re likely not using your iPhone for it. If you don’t care about 120hz refresh rate, get the standard 13 and save $200.

Unfortunately Apple decides that Germans are willing to spent 1149€ on an IPhone 13 Pro which is the equivalent of 1350 US dollar. But after three years with my IPhone X I’m ready for the very best! Thank you so much for your videos, they are such an decision aid! 🥰
