Sport's journalists many of them are full of shit losers with lifetime jealousy issues with athletes. These love it when they see an opening to get on an athlete; particularly a Black one.

Just like the PED issue. Has any of these Punkass journalists interviewed a team physician or trainer? What about an owner's incentive to have a player he is paying millions of dollars be able to come back from injury in 6 weeks instead of being out a year?

Do you know of any sports talk show that has taken sports medicine physicians to task on steroids? Just look at games, Athletes are frequently triaged and hospitalise but we are supposed to believe Sports medicine physicians, trainers and owners have nothing to do with getting their prized athletes juiced That's because Sports journalists who never played are racist latent homosexuals that put the entire burden on athletes.

OKCThunder Champs I'm just going to go out on a limb here and say that maybe since he was the best player on the team and was looked at as the leader, there's much his teammates could have learnt from him during some one on one time during a practice. I thought that was pretty obvious. I was pretty good at hockey growing up, but I don't doubt that if Wayne Gretzky came to my practices I could have learnt a lot from him and probably would have gotten better at hockey. The other thing, is like many others, basketball is a team sport and the reason why practices are important is to get everyone working together as a cohesive unit. Learning plays, and getting the entire team on the same page is very important during team sports. All that being said, I really don't give a fuck and thought this shit was hilarious.

For context Iverson had just finished up a season where he averaged 43.7 minutes per game while playing with a broken hand. That is more than 10 minutes more than what Giannis averaged this year. In the entire decades of the 80s, the 90s, the 2000s and the 2010s nobody ever averaged that many minutes. In the midst of that he missed one practice and the media killed him for it for the rest of the season. Iverson has his faults but effort was NEVER one of them.
@mexicano79263 жыл бұрын
Are you implying that no matter how hard he tried, AI with his skillset could have never been a more successful player with higher effort and professionalim?
@meadbert3 жыл бұрын
@@mexicano7926 I was not comparing real AI to an imaginary perfrct AI. I was comparing real AI to every other real player who played in the 80s, 90s, 2000s and 2010s and by those standards he was among the hardest working if not the hardest working player ther was. No one else averaged 43.7 minutes a game and today's players don't even remotely approach that.
@mexicano79263 жыл бұрын
@@meadbert I get your point. For example, look at westbrook, who a couple years back was one of the leaders in minutes as well, he is a pretty good comparison to AI, has not won a championship. IMO hardwork is more than personal output or avg minutes played, it is recognizing your leadership role as a star player and using it to further elevate yourself, which unlike Giannis, its something Westbrook and AI were not able to do. Also no player playing over 40 min could also be because sports medicine has evolved in a positive way in the last decade

@ParabolaTool6 жыл бұрын
You're objectively wrong. Internet memes existed long before this shit. Yes, not to the level they are now but there was an internet culture evolving over time. The fact that it wasn't available to everyone doesn't make it not a meme... it was just the culture of that subgroup that reached a smaller amount of people. Kind of like how any community has jokes that are inclusive to themselves that outsiders wouldn't get. Not only did the internet have a culture and subcultures in the 90's just think about the fact that online gaming existed in the 90's. The first counter-strike came out in 1999. PS2 had netplay in 2001-2002, I think. I used to play SOCOM and FFXI on there. EverQuest came out in 1999. World of Warcraft 2004. This video of AI was from what? 2001? But I don't think it even got popular until later on. That's the first internet meme? Yeah dude no. You're just looking at memes now and trying to compare it 1:1 to things 25-30 years ago. Obviously things have changed and expanded.

That pain is not unique and it is not what is focused on. You have a hard working individual here who is getting criticized for something insignificant. He is showing how it's too common that media and fans will criticize a star player for the smallest thing. How people want to see the best of us fail.

And he just suffered a loss of a loved one who died. And they was talkin about "practice". Nobody asked him how he was holding up. Nobody asked him how he was feeling. He's carrying the weight over a tragic loss in his life and he's supposed to carry an entire team of full grown men who should also be held accountable for their game play.. But this dude wanted to ask him about "practice".. Fuckin media don't give a shit about nobody but their own story. That dude deserved that scolding from AI.

My thoughts EXACTLY!! Can't believe he didn't understand the relationship between his actions and the actions of his teammates. I don't care if he missed a practice or not. What he said in that clip communicates a fundamental lack of understanding of the relationship between preparation and results. Talking about practice is absolutely worth doing, and in this clip, he shrugs it off like it's practically irrelevant. Couldn't be further from the truth.
