I really love my astral temple! For me, it's a huge room with a door in each direction linking me to that corresponding element. So my North door is for grounding, prosperity, money, etc. My East door leads me to my library of infinite knowledge. My South side has a nice fireplace to transform and transmute, and my West side is an emotional cleansing pool! I'm so glad you talked about this!

Really interesting video thank you. I’ve been using auditory signatures without realising it. Wardruna always playing when I’m doing protection workings for the last 3 years. Different pagan music, peaceful, women’s circle songs for self love. Etc etc. I also have a specific type of candle (that I call my working light) that is always lit before any type of working, ritual, meditation. This does work as a visual trigger. I’m going to be thinking about this for ages as I’m sure I’m using a heap of triggers

The concept of World Building in the realm of magick is a totally new concept for me. Super fascinating. Since you have experience with Tulpas I'm curious if you've heard of Cryptids? There's a theory that collective thought can and will create monsters. If this is true how do we diagnose this and how do we deal with it? Especially in terms of protection. There's too much empirical evidence to say they're not real..

Hello! Your Wonderland sounds similar to the place I often travel to. I call it the Otherworld. It's where I meet nature spirits and other magical beings, where my spirit guides walk or fly me to places near and far, both geographically and in time. I've met my ancestors there. I get there through the great tree that I visualise in a meditative state, and I get to the tree via a stone circle that is my magical visualised glade. Most often, I step into that magical glade from my physical glade of apple and cherry trees in my back garden, and when I return that's the route in reverse that brings me home.

I absolutely love this room building / world building concept. And I cannot wait to try. My question is, do you ever fear that you forget what a certain room looks like after making it? Because after hearing this I feel like I will fear forgetting. But also think I won't forget. Hope this makes sense!! ❤

I don't think the hand position thing is crazy at all. Back in the 80's and 90's, a man named Oshun Takashi created Temple dances that were essentially rituals in motion. Each movement had a specific magickal meaning. He based a lot of his work on sacred dances from around the world, so not only is it powerful stuff, it's also truly universal. Anyway, hope that makes you feel a bit less crazy. :) Thank you for the great videos!

Love this 💜 Thought it might help some folks who might have visualization issues, Your world building can also be done in written form. For example, In your first notebook, begin writing your journals mission statement, explain in as much detail as possible why you are building this world and how you intend to use, and maintain it. Reread this mission statement each time you sit in "session" , after that, this first journal can store some notes from each session. Your meditation minutes so to speak. It can serve as your "hallway" With a second notebook or journal, perform the same ritual writing, to reread at the beginning of each session for that "door" in your hallway. Explain in detail what you want this door, palace, room etc,, to be or do , design it with words, pictures, pieces of junk paper, whatever you find most useful, and inspiring. You can use this method for dailey meditation, use one notebook or as many as you like. Also, consider visual meditation videos, showing different patterns of light, color, shapes, movements that are often accompanied by sound baths, or you can watch them muted with your own background sounds or even earplugs . Happy exploring!😁

@@fizzlestyxx8507 I have an incredible imagination, however over the last decade or two, my accumulated life stress gave some light to my a.d.d, my memory has suffered, and I often find it easier to "ground, center, and meditate, with my eyes open, essentially I learned how to use maladaptive daydreaming as a tool, rather than a wall. I am currently making, what I call, a visual orocal book, like a junk journal except I use music lyrics, poetry, etc when I'm inspired,, to create a page of images around the ideas I'm given emotional inspiration about. Later, when the book is full, I can flip to a random page and "stare" at the image to help lower or raise my energy. I was inspired by the book Illusions, by Richard Bach, his version was called The Messiahs Handbook, awesome read btw 🥰

i've been so excited for another one of these chats!!! feels like sitting down with a witchy friend. also, i know you've worked with medusa and i thinkkk some other dark goddesses, and that deity work is probably not the center of your craft as a chaos magician, but i'd love a deity work video if you felt you had more to share about it. i'm not a beginner but i haven't worked with a deity before, and i'm feeling extremely drawn to the concept nowadays - my hesitation is that i feel like i should be reached out to, kind of chosen by a deity, instead of choosing on my own and initiating the relationship. thus far in my craft beyond spellwork, most of my experiences with spirit have felt very non-tangible and i definitely have a strong craving for more "real" spiritual/witchy experiences. i think i'm being somewhat impatient with this want for a tangible, novelesque relationship with a deity but i'd love to hear your thoughts on this area. hope this makes sense, kinda ranted here..
@IvyTheOccultist
@IvyTheOccultist Жыл бұрын
Ahh, I resonate with so much of this! I used to feel the same way. I was always waiting to be reached out to and chosen by a deity, but it certainly didn't happen that way for me. And I came to find later that the reason why I wasn't outwardly "chosen" is because Medusa wanted me to work for it. (As a lot of dark goddesses do...) And now that I have worked for it, our relationship feels so much deeper to me. I did do a video on "Dark Goddess Worship" and if you haven't already watched that video, I definitely suggest you do! A lot of the stuff I say in that video can be applied towards almost any deity. When people claim they had these profound moments where a deity chose them I'm always a bit skeptical. To me, it feels like there are some people that overly-romanticize a situation and turn it into a grand thing. Whereas people like you and I are looking for something a little more concrete before we romanticize anything. I'm sure a deity has already been reaching out to you in subtle ways! But our minds are critical and it's hard for us to accept the signs. Sometimes I wish we could be those people that overly-romanticize everything and just go with it. 😂 Now I'm the one rambling. Anyways, I talk about that a little bit in the Dark Goddess video!

"Why not" lol love it 😂🤣 I can't roll my r's either but I've been getting back into using mudras. I did 4 mudras this morning, and I love it. I love that you mentioned them! They are EXTREMELY underrated in the witchcraft world. I've been wondering if you have used or still using mudras in your practice, since I know you were a Buddhist. I've used a cleansing mudra to cleanse an item before I used it in spell work. Here in Arizona we have a college called ASU and there team is called the Sun Devils. The fans and teammates use a hand gesture to represent there mascots pitchfork and it literally is a mudra, if I remember correctly it's for grounding and possibly protection. I use that same mudra to represent Poseidon's Trident. You don't sound bonkers. I've never heard of audio sigils/ signatures before. I'm more into calling it a mind "palace". "Look how cute you are, I just wanna eat your face" 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣 I love it! Your dog is so cute!! Another great video, Ivy.

I have worked with my coven where I guided them to create their Magick cottage. A place they can go to meditate, talk to those who have crossed over and spell work takes place here. We all know our cottages from the shape and color of the door to every minute detail. My daughters cotrage is a potting shed. So when you talked about this the thought of our Magick citrate came to mind. Sometimes we go in the cottage and open a door to another realm, we have Astral projected to other planets . Our minds are capable of so much beyond our 5 senses and we need to use our imaginations to stretch beyond the 10% of our brains that we use Maybe Magick is the "real" reality.

I have difficulty doing mudras because of nerve damage to one of my hands. I found that when I use incense or pale santo, any smoke cleansing to cleanse, it reminds me of how it was in the Buddhist temple I've been to, and it makes my cleansing ritual almost trance like. I also found that if I use singing bowls after this, it makes the trance stronger. I'm now working on using other easy instruments like chimes, bongos, tongue drums, etc. I'm hoping to use different sounds to help me with spell work similar to what you are talking about, as I have difficulty visualizing and some times meditating.

I'm a medium, so I'm wondering why you want to meet them in wonderland vs just speaking to them? Also, be mindful there servitor relationship - if you don't give them a choice, your basically enslaving your entity- this does have universal karmic effects. But I enjoy your topics. Nice to see other advanced practitioners.
@IvyTheOccultist
@IvyTheOccultist Жыл бұрын
Thank you! To answer your question: If I'm working with spirits, sometimes I do choose to just speak to them while performing tarot or maybe I'll go into a light altered state of consciousness beforehand. Then sometimes, I'll take the time to go deep into "wonderland" instead. And I suppose it really just depends on the magical entity that I'm working with. I have found that in some cases the communication is a lot more clear in wonderland versus just speaking to them in a light altered state. But again, it totally depends on who I'm speaking to of course! Also, (for me) going into wonderland is almost like astral projecting where I am beyond my body. I have had another human being meet me there and journey together and it was a surreal experience. So I find that "wonderland" can be a great meeting ground for everyone. ☺️

That mudra that you showed isn't really used in Buddhism, that is more of a Vedic one. It is similar to the Vitarka Mudra but it has different meanings and only used in one hand. In Buddhism, especially Zen, the meditation mudra used is called Dhyana Mudra which is formed with the hands held in an oval. It is like the name suggest the mudra held by all Buddhists while doing meditation. A very interesting and joyful video though, thanks!

@IvyTheOccultist
@IvyTheOccultist Жыл бұрын
Oh, what an interesting question! I can't say for sure what a servitor is and isn't. Everyone's brain works a little differently... I am leaning towards "no it's not a servitor" when I hear you talk about this magical entity because I personally don't think it's a servitor. Although, who am I to say its not? My hesitation is because there are magical entities that appear to us in dragon form and they are not servitors. We call them dragons because that's what we see, but there's a whole system of magick centered around dragons. It's kind of like a spirit animal presenting itself to you in a way. I think you're being called to do some dragon magick! I have never worked with dragons so I don't have much advice here, but if a dragon presented itself to you during breathwork, you might want to look more into that! ❤️
