Thanks! The Iwatani is an amazing burner, you'll enjoy it! This was definitely a head-scratcher for sure. Took me a long time to figure this one out. All the bumpy roads made it wiggle over enough to not light... After two years in the van too! Thanks for watching!

@@sprinterdiscovery I was on the ferry to Vancouver today so my next step is to try your famous coffee ☕️ maxim

Let me know after you tried it - looking for your honest opinion on it. I just bought another bag yesterday. Two bags of coffee per month drinking several cups a day satisfies my coffee addiction. Enjoy your trip in Vancouver!

I just bought a Iwatani 35fw butane stove on amazon. do I have to use their brand of butane canister or is any standard butane canister okay to use? thanks for this video.

Oh great, thanks for this. I have to share with someone who contacted me about not being able to start his. Have you used it for wok cooking? It's PERFECT cause the heat is focused at the base of the wok.
@sprinterdiscovery3 жыл бұрын
Hello! Glad the video helped! We have this burner installed on the countertop in our Sprinter van full time. We have used this for high heat cooking on carbon steel pans, and have used it before with our carbon steel wok - it is very good for high heat cooking! We travel a lot, and the bumps and vibrations cause the middle burner to move ever so slightly. When we can't start it, we just moved the notch over to the correct spot, and works every time! This past summer we traveled from coast to coast across Canada and back. No problem in finding butane refill cartridges at Canadian Tire. Thanks for watching!

@@sprinterdiscovery do you live in your Sprinter when traveling? Didn’t your stove come with a case? That helps to keep it from getting knocked around. Great to hear you use a wok to cook on this stove.

When we travel, it's full time in the van - no hotels or tents. We store the case in the house, and we bolted the Iwatani to the countertop in our van. We use it to boil water for coffee and tea, and for cooking our meals.
