The twelve notes can be used extensively without abandoning the pattern of tonality, and Bach does this with great merit.

This long been a favorite of mine! There's another version - not as good as this, and prelude questionable authenticiy if reember right.

It's an amazing fugue! I know about the other version, haven't gotten around to checking it out yet, I'll probably record it as well. It will be interesting to see another approach!
