En plus de se rapprocher de la réalité historique ( si jamais il y en avait une) , Scott Ross essaie de comprendre avec quels matériaux les compositeurs du XVII ème et XVIII ème siècles pouvaient interpréter la musique de leur époque: démarche que Glenn Gould n'avait pas comprise. Je rajouterai que tout génie interprète fait aimer l'instrument qu'il joue, tout comme Richter au piano, Oïstrakh au violon et Victor-Julien Laferrière au violoncelle !

The Gigue is, next to the one from the 3rd French Suite(in B minor), the best Gigue from any Bach works Edit: If you guys disagree, name your favourite Gigue so that we have a comparison, I welcome any counterpoint^^ to my statement

@@Adar195 Some other baroque composers manage a higher complexity and variation in emotion than him, but in terms of his skills as an artisan and understanding of counterpoint, his truly is the highest form no question.
