I think the first audiobook was recorded very early, when only one or two books were out and it was never re-recorded. Therfor all this translation goofs are still present in the audiobooks, although later book editions were corrected.

Since you discussed The Hog's Head I thought you'd like to know that: a hogshead comes from a 15th century English term (hogged hede) for a unit of measurement equivalent to 63 gallons. However in the modern day it's 54 imperial gallons, which is a standard British brewing industry measure & barrel size. Also a blind pig or tiger is simply a term referring to a speakeasy. So that's more a historically accurate name, rather than its own individual name. And one more thing, gigglepig is a fictional drug in Brooklyn Nine Nine so you might have been thinking about that.

Love your videos but I had to chime in on this one: Harry's invisibility cloak is more effective and powerful because it's the cloak that was given to the third Peverell brother from Death himself. Death cut a piece of cloth from his own robes and gave it to the third brother who he was unable to find until he was an old man (after passing the cloak onto his son). The invisible cloaks made from Demiguise fur is powerful but has flaws whereas the cloak from Death has never failed Harry.
