A handful of Skip's "hot takes" (think: steaming pile of BS) he doesn't want anyone to remember: 1. Johnny Football will one day be bigger in Cleveland than his buddy LeBron ever was. 2. Cowboys will regret taking Dak Prescott - his boy! - over Cardale Jones. 3. Derek Fisher will prove to be a much better NBA head coach than Steve Kerr. 4. Tebow is much better than Andrew Luck because "Tebow has the It Factor" (sound familiar? lol). 5. I love Tom Brady but RIGHT NOW in last 2 minutes have to take Tebow (A. WTF?! B. I thought Tom Terrific was Skip's boy as well??) 6. There are sooooo many more. Bottom line: This guy is the Jerry Springer of sports talk.

Ryan Taylor it’s only because he didn’t change his game, late in his career, and he gets killed for that. As that’s all the young fans remember of him. Melo was an ISO player, like old Jordan, who would back you down the to the block, and take a short fade-away, like Jordan. The problem was the game changed to ball movement, and outside shooting as king, while Melo didnt work enough on his 3, nor did he stop taking long 2pt shots. If Carmelo had changed his game with the times. I believe he’s easily still in the league, and draining 3s for a good team’s second unit. Sadly, like his entire career, he seemed content with what skills he had, and not striving to be the best possible Melo he could be.

Taking more and more 3's and mid-range. This was my point and I doubt he would have played for so long if he didn't do that, relying on strength instead of finesse. Same for Westbrook he is a freak but a lot of his shot attempts come from 3's and mid-range which are easier on his body. Now if you look at Zion almost all of his attempts are and will be in the paint where he has to be physical and it's not a sustainable style of play.

I watched most of Duke’s games this year. It was clear that they differed to Zion because of his inability to create his own shot. The problem coach K faced is that the only guy who could create his own shot also couldn’t shoot free throws. That’s RJ. My point here is they both have flaws. Zion is going to have to learn how to create his own shot (he’s a very good, unselfish play maker who’s always gonna make the right play) so once he has that down, what a stud this guy is going to be and RJ simply has to be a better free throw shooter. Full stop. Kid definitely wants to own the moment and has all the tools to do so but once he gets fouled going to the basket, which hedid in the clutch at Duke, he just wasn’t able to make his free throws. He was also super selfish because he has the abiltiy to be a good passer but he just played hero ball down the stretch. The narrative that he isn’t clutch is also a poor one because he didn’t miss more free throws down the stretch. His % pretty much stayed the same regardless of when he shot them. He’s just not a great ft shooter

Before the AD trade I would've agreed Unc. But I think Zion already has so much more around him than we expected so it should be easier for him to rise toward his peak. With them around him, he will have more team success. Also, he is a forward in the west whereas Ja is a guard. And we all know how hard it is for great guards to be all stars in the west, so i think Zion's accolades will come more quickly than Ja's

Every time Skip detailed R.J., my Mind kept thinking, "Ca-clank. Ca-clank."

Ja also averaged 2 steals per game and 1 block per game while "playing no defense" according to skip

I love Ja Morant, he and Zion are head and shoulders above their classmates, but as far as they are above their classmates, that is how much Zion is above Ja. Zion is an ANIMAL!!!

It's like as soon rj got drafted by the Knicks everybody in ESPN looked at each other and hit that overrated at the same time but some was calling him this best player in the draft months ago 😂

Facts! He was the one who was projected to be drafted number 1, But then Zion went ham! But now since people salivate on hatin on the Knicks. It's a cool thing to diss him. Watch them praise him if he does good. Just like they did with KP where they rated him so high, They Overly overrated him.😂

I love how skip misses the fact that zion missed a game tying free throw against UCF and RJ had a put back dunk for the win. Apparently RJ can’t shoot free throws but had a higher percentage than zion, apparently he has a low fg% at 45.4%. Apparently, he’s just a scorer with nearly 8 rebounds 4 assists a game

If RJ is just a scorer then Zion is just a dunker.. Shannon has the worst takes ever. Not saying Ja won't be great PG but he definitely cannot do more at this point than RJ or Zion. RJ and Zion are both way more versatile than Ja and they can actually defend.

Skip is spot on about RJ. He reminds me of Kobe, before Kobe developed a basketball IQ. He was still somewhat of a black hole but he did eventually learn to play within a team framework,.
