I’m a young gay man (26) from the Midwest and about a month ago I visited my first gay bar. I was mortified, but after mellowing out with the friend who had invited me, I had the most validating experience of my life. I wanted to live in that feeling for the rest of my life, and I was saddened to have to leave it.
