Yup. I know that it’s often necessary to suspend belief in order to enjoy a show. I can almost believe Reacher might hang onto that helicopter and climb inside. But grab that woman’s slipping gurney as it hurtles off the ramp and prevent its free fall into the sky? Nope, not happening. Reacher stories are exciting enough. The addition of fantasy superhero elements detracts from the story.

The scene in the book is even crazier and more ruthless, he hides under one of the chopper’s seat and he just jumps from his hiding spot like freaking Batman, shoots the two goons like if he wasn’t in the air and then he proceeds to cut the boss’ legs and arms, then drops him from the chopper after he begs for mercy.

Robert Patrick is the actor's name, and yes, back in 1992, James Cameron would hire him to play T-1000 for the Terminator sequel. Thus fulfilling his original vision of the terminator looking like a normal run of the mill guy, someone who easily blends into a crowd, instead of the muscle-bound Arnold Schwarzenegger in the first film, someone who definitely stands out in a crowd. Robert has also had appearances in TV shows like Sons of Anarchy, The Sopranos, Peacemaker, as well as movies like The Faculty. The whole end of this series was really let down by the whole helicopter scene. Absolutely ridiculous how unreal the whole hanging out of the helicopter on a medical bed was. I know he is supposed to be a tough army guy etc, and I really can suspend my disbelief..... But seriously this was RIDICULOUS. Spoilt the ending massively. Would of been better being a bit more realistic. Still could of thrown the guy ut at the end.

I get that the book essentially turned Reacher into Superman, but Season 2 took what the book did and dialed it up to 11. Halfway through the season I was expecting Reacher to get shot in the head, then a few minutes later just pop back up like nothing happened. The season was absurd, and yes, the book it's based on is absurd, but they could have toned it down some. Not everyone needed to be Captain America
