Based on what Bam said, I think the problem is that he never had to face the consequences of his own actions. He never reached that point where he thought "Wow I really should clean this place up. It's a real mess. I really shouldn't have thrown paint everywhere and let my friends squat at my place. This is going to cost me a lot of time and money. What a headache." That would allow him to realise actions = consequences. Stupid choices = headache later on. It would force him to grow up. Instead, when he completely trashes his own home for a "cool picture", he has a mother who swoops in and fixes everything for him. And he takes it entirely for granted. Like "kthxbye" Add to that he also has a wife who thinks he's so incapable of taking care of himself that she has to drive to him to bring him food. She probably cleans up after him too. He was never really allowed to fix his own damn messes and his own damn mistakes. That's probably why he's such a man child at 39. Ladies, as hard as it is, try letting him fix his own mistakes and lay in the bed he made. And if decides to "go into the light" then at least you tried both ways and did your best. Hope he gets it together before his son is old enough to rregister what a mess he is.

Underrated comment "That's probably why he's such a man child at 39". No one has let him feel the need to be self-reliant, and the point he would feel a compromise too much (friends or money) is way to high because of his means and lifestyle.

When he said “ i begged the pain to come back, to feel something” omg 😭 Thats something i wish more understood about depression. Most of the time you feel sad and you will have a good day but there comes a point when your depression gets to the absolute worst possible. It can get to when you feel absolutely nothing. It’s in those moments that people end up committing suicide. It doesn’t matter how happy they seem or how better they were doing. When your depression reaches that point that you no longer feel a single thing that’s when you become your most vulnerable. That’s when all of those bad thoughts that you have had about doing something to yourself finally become a reality because you no longer feel scared or fear or sadness.

Although what you are saying about head injuries is correct, in Bams case I'm afraid it's much more than just that. I've been watching and following Bam since before he was on Jackass and when he was just making the cky videos and was a popular pro skater. I am also a person that has gone through both head injuries and dual diagnosis treatment centers ( drug addiction in conjunction with mental health issues) so I'm at least a little knowledgeable on the subject. One of Bams biggest problems is him not taking responsibility for his actions and finding a way to blame others. Just look how he is here by blaming his mom and wife. The first step in recovery of any kind is admitting that you have a problem. Despite Bam having multiple d.u.I.s and having already been to rehab many times and not completing a single one he still doesn't think that he has a problem. None of that is a secret , Bam had a radio show on xm radio called "radio bam" from around 2005 to 2012 and he was a party animal since the beginning of that. There are old episodes on KZbin. There is also a new podcast called "The Novak and Frantz show" which are or were Bams friends that were also on Radio Bam and they have a whole episode dedicated to "why is bam in rehab" and they talk about all the crazy stuff that went on behind the scenes. Check it out if you want to get a better look at Bams history.

@Joe Martin Yeah she was but shouldn't the pope be prepared to encounter evil like that, and withold anger? Anger is an evil spirit that inhabits the body, that dude has evil spirits for sure man. Jesse Peterson taught me that. Anger is very abnormal for a man to have, all emotions come from the woman. It's no surprise to me why people are so skeptical of that dude. That wasn't supposed to be the point of Jesus' teachings, to make a old man wear a wizard suit and walk around being worshipped by people. That's preposterous in my eyes. God's eyes too. I have a wife and three year old just had surgery and declined pain killers because the thought of hurting my family because being numb to life hardships was nauseatingly terrifying.
