Based on what Bam said, I think the problem is that he never had to face the consequences of his own actions. He never reached that point where he thought "Wow I really should clean this place up. It's a real mess. I really shouldn't have thrown paint everywhere and let my friends squat at my place. This is going to cost me a lot of time and money. What a headache." That would allow him to realise actions = consequences. Stupid choices = headache later on. It would force him to grow up. Instead, when he completely trashes his own home for a "cool picture", he has a mother who swoops in and fixes everything for him. And he takes it entirely for granted. Like "kthxbye" Add to that he also has a wife who thinks he's so incapable of taking care of himself that she has to drive to him to bring him food. She probably cleans up after him too. He was never really allowed to fix his own damn messes and his own damn mistakes. That's probably why he's such a man child at 39. Ladies, as hard as it is, try letting him fix his own mistakes and lay in the bed he made. And if decides to "go into the light" then at least you tried both ways and did your best. Hope he gets it together before his son is old enough to rregister what a mess he is.

Underrated comment "That's probably why he's such a man child at 39". No one has let him feel the need to be self-reliant, and the point he would feel a compromise too much (friends or money) is way to high because of his means and lifestyle.

When he said “ i begged the pain to come back, to feel something” omg 😭 Thats something i wish more understood about depression. Most of the time you feel sad and you will have a good day but there comes a point when your depression gets to the absolute worst possible. It can get to when you feel absolutely nothing. It’s in those moments that people end up committing suicide. It doesn’t matter how happy they seem or how better they were doing. When your depression reaches that point that you no longer feel a single thing that’s when you become your most vulnerable. That’s when all of those bad thoughts that you have had about doing something to yourself finally become a reality because you no longer feel scared or fear or sadness.

Your wife loves you and fears for your life. Often times, when you think they're being annoying its bc they love you so much, but they cant love the addiction out of you. You have to choose to love yourself, they cant do it for you. You have to want so much for your son that you're gonna wanna be the one to give it to him. Prayers to you and your family. There is light at the end, you just have to search for it.

Although what you are saying about head injuries is correct, in Bams case I'm afraid it's much more than just that. I've been watching and following Bam since before he was on Jackass and when he was just making the cky videos and was a popular pro skater. I am also a person that has gone through both head injuries and dual diagnosis treatment centers ( drug addiction in conjunction with mental health issues) so I'm at least a little knowledgeable on the subject. One of Bams biggest problems is him not taking responsibility for his actions and finding a way to blame others. Just look how he is here by blaming his mom and wife. The first step in recovery of any kind is admitting that you have a problem. Despite Bam having multiple d.u.I.s and having already been to rehab many times and not completing a single one he still doesn't think that he has a problem. None of that is a secret , Bam had a radio show on xm radio called "radio bam" from around 2005 to 2012 and he was a party animal since the beginning of that. There are old episodes on KZbin. There is also a new podcast called "The Novak and Frantz show" which are or were Bams friends that were also on Radio Bam and they have a whole episode dedicated to "why is bam in rehab" and they talk about all the crazy stuff that went on behind the scenes. Check it out if you want to get a better look at Bams history.

Also, Bam seems to have a habit of going from zero to 100 and loses control, then starts to lash out at whoever is nearest an dearest to him. Bam needs to learn some self control and coping mechanisms, because when everyone else is the problem, then who’s the real problem?! Joe Martin Where are you getting that from, the Old Testament? God has never revealed to me that hes wrathful or whatever . Anger is of Satan, straight up. God is pure love, which is rational and logical. No rational or logical being gets angry and slaps people for holding their hand.
@TheNaturalhumandiet
@TheNaturalhumandiet 4 жыл бұрын
@Joe Martin Yeah she was but shouldn't the pope be prepared to encounter evil like that, and withold anger? Anger is an evil spirit that inhabits the body, that dude has evil spirits for sure man. Jesse Peterson taught me that. Anger is very abnormal for a man to have, all emotions come from the woman. It's no surprise to me why people are so skeptical of that dude. That wasn't supposed to be the point of Jesus' teachings, to make a old man wear a wizard suit and walk around being worshipped by people. That's preposterous in my eyes. God's eyes too. The guy is fundamentally a fraud, the anger thing is just a minor symptom.

Joe Martin I agree, but in this case She didnt put her “hands on him”, she held his hand, all he had to do was pull the hand back. She was an old lady, he couldnt shake an old ladys grip? Also he is a major public figure and should be used to that, or stay out of the public scope then if you cant handle an old lady holding your hand for 5 whole seconds . It seems like he does have legitimate reasons to be frustrated; however, he doesn't seem to take responsibility for why the people in his life may treat him the way they do. If you behave like a kid, then you are essentially training the people around you to step up and be more responsible than they might not otherwise have to be. It seems as though his family has to compensate for his lack of "adulting" as it were, and then he gets upset about it.

Selena Mae as someone who used heroin for 5 years 8 years clean now. I can honestly say it’s more of a choice than we like to let on. I quit because I chose to, I chose to face my actual issues I was hiding from. It’s a coping mechanism once you decide to face your issues and find better ways to cope and grow. I have a wife and three year old just had surgery and declined pain killers because the thought of hurting my family because being numb to life hardships was nauseatingly terrifying. At the end of the day outside of benzodiazepines and alcohol as they are the only drugs I know of where the withdrawal can kill you its entire a choice. He’s choosing not to face the truth and learn to cope with his life.

@@jimcross4474 I'm an ex addict myself and yes it is a choice at first never said it wasnt so you should also know the power the drug has to take over you and yes not alot of people make the choice to quit letting it control you but the people that choose not to quit clearly havent hit their rock bottom because people enable them so they feel like they dont have to. And Pete Martinez I do understand the power of family but you dont seem to realise not everyone has family therefore could be a reason why they do drugs. Anyone that does drugs is selfish so you clearly DONT understand.

Man it’s really sad to see Bam like this. I was in a rehab and roommates with Brandon Novak about 6 years ago (I’m 5 years clean.) Novak was in pretty bad shape then, but he told me a lot about Bam at the time and how he was super rich and famous but also the most depressed and isolated person he’d ever met. That on top of the alcoholism and drug use and Bam’s been on a downward spiral for years now. It’s not like this just started to happen in the past few years. I hope Bam gets the help he needs and finds peace and happiness in his life. It’s obvious he is a very lost soul right now.
