She read each and every letter as well as answering each and every person who wrote to her. It took a few months but she did it. If you refer to Frame 383 of the Zapruder film, Jackie does have what appears to be a silver metalic object in her hand that she throws down onto the car seat before she jumped on the trunk of the car. Now this may not be an object. It could be lense flare, or some type of reflective glare. Or possibly it is a result of an optical illusion when refraction, or the change in lights direction, is captured on celluloid film. Now if it is an object, it's plausable that she retrieved it from her handbag which was tiny, and simply could not have contained everything that women usually carry in a standard size purse.
