My life is in two parts. Before I heard of Jackie Leven and then after......my life was richer!

Thank you for this. I knew Jackie well and miss him so much; his humour, insight and irreverent thoughts about everything. It’s so nice to hear him talking. He could see to the heart of life and was never boring (though he would refute that!). He introduced me to writers and poets that have guided me through life: Akhmatova, Tsvataeva, Patchen, MacNeice. If you love this man’s music, read them and keep a little bit of Jackie in your heart. X

For what it's worth, "Little Voice in Space" is one of my all time favourite live performances - any artist, any genre. Well done that man. And shout out to the bass player and keyboards, top notch.

I have so much of this man's music - he is a criminally underrated musician and may he rest in peace - genius Jackie Peter

There is nothing more to be said I just wish I met him before he died. Most of deceased artist I do not have that wish but Jackie feels like someone I would like so much.

You've discovered a gold mine. I must say I'm impressed by the recentness of your comment. If you wish for someone to talk to about his music after you've heard some, I would gladly do so.

@@mymeattypebeats2015 I found his music only last week after hearing Sexual Loneliness Of Jesus Christ. I thought the song had reminiscence of Morrissey in the music and Anhoni in the delivery. So I am checking out more.

@@lotuseater7247 I made a playlist of his music if you'd like me to share it?

@@lotuseater7247 Also, thank you for the Anhoni mention! I've never heard of him, but I'm listening to one of his songs now and so far I am loving it!

I just recently discovered Jackie Levan! What a treasure! So much to dig into! And that his voice sounds like a mix of Warren Zevon and Kurt Wagner is not a bad thing either!

Thank you so much for uploading this. There is very little professional footage of Jackie so this is absolutely priceless.

I first saw Jackie Leven at Salisbury Arts Centre in 2001. It was the best gig I've ever been to but the room was almost empty.

I saw Jackie at the Salisbury Arts Centre in 2002. There were at least twenty people there, he was both brilliant and utterly under appreciated; a shame he's probably better known posthumously. Maybe the pigeons understand?
