Hi ! I'm a guitar player and I really like your chanel. Do you know that Eric Johnson is doing the same of grouping with the pentatonic scale. There is a picking technical rational behind it. The way he hold its pick pushed him in that musical direction. Doing 5 notes grouping in the pentatonic avoid him to stay stuck between 2 strings with the pick + he can play fast this way + it can develop beautiful musical patterns moving throught bars in a very not corny way. Best from Paris.

Hey Anthony, thanks for all those interesting videos on Jaco's playing. I really like your tone, actually. I'm playing for a year and don't really know yet how to get such a lovely warm and clean bass tone. Could your explain your bass rig and signal chain? I see that you have a Squier Jazz Bass. Are they the original mics or did you change them? Also, what amp and pedals? I'd be happy to know, even if I'm aware that the tone is mostly in the fingers!

cool!would be nice to talk about insane patterns like Feraud's

Great lesson...i notice you anchor your thumb on the E as opposed to floating the anchor as you ascend , and i dont mean a "floating thumb" for muting with it sideways like Alain Caron or Adam Nitti...
@AnthonyMuthurajah7 жыл бұрын
Thanks man! I tried all possible ways to relax the right hand thumb and found this to be the most comfortable for me personally. My sound remains even and I don't find myself struggling going across strings.
