Chrysaor Glamdring Amir looks like a total vagrant, but duality of man means that someone could have both sides of something (ex. Good and evil) within them. In this case, Amir looks poor as hell, but he's assuming that the waitress thought he might also be rich, because of that notion of duality of man. It's hard to explain because it's totally asinine, but it's also funny as heck.
