My opinion on Revolution: they're not taking away money from high end brands. People who buy drugstore are usually the ones who can't afford high end anyways (like me). I was never gonna buy the shade and light palette from KVD but it's kinda cool that there's an affordable option that I can try. But, copying the packaging is not cool.

Nor do they *ILLEGALLY steal and use the official cruelty free stamp, which is a registered trademark and there are strict qualifications and rules a product must pass in order to get approved to begin with!!* It doesn't matter that he's sweet, he purposefully lied and deceived customers AND stole and illegally used a trademarked symbol without actually applying for it, proving his products qualified, getting approval and qualification and the company officially approving his products and providing him with the stamp of approval! That's wrong - period - and needs to be called out and he needs to be accountable and responsible for. Plus, if he tweets and completely dismisses the issues others are having with a product (Deva Curl), especially when he clearly wasn't fully informed on the situation but instead of saying that, spoke out and dismissed it, it's appropriate to call him out on that too. People have to learn where their place is, where their lane is and that they will be held accountable and responsible for the things they do and say, so maybe they should really think carefully beforehand. I only saw Jenna's re-upload video but the fact that she had to make that disclaimer made me so mad. I have a cat and had a dog and i can't tell you the amount of times i bought toys, leashes, food, you name it... to try out and it didn't work for my pets. It happens. Not everything you try will work out for the best but when you're trying your hardest to make them happy and confortable and something you bought doesn't work you can't be faulted. When I did hair, I would always use devacurl gel simply because it works good and I've never tried it myself. Now that I know what it's doing, I feel awful for recommending it to people! Also in the comments of the Jenna Marbles video, a vet commented that if a dog is in there for less than an hour about, it is not harmful to a dog. She also mentioned that theres some sickness that I can't remember where dogs have to sit in that position for a while to help them eat. It makes me sad that people who don't know what they're talking about make Jenna feel like she might be hurting her dogs that she loves so much.

Angelika gurl, I am from Turkey and thanks to our shitty economy the expensive brands are 5 times the prize they are in the country...so Make Up Revolution does allow us to access these foreign pallets that we so want to play and have a feel for but can't get our hands and wallets on- Also, I do not enjoy ( and I believe that also many other people do not ) trying to find and collect all the different shades on the pallet, from different drugstore brands and have my make up table be a mess. I agree with you on the point that if a creator does spend time and effort on a pallet and come up with an original idea then they should be praised and rewarded the amounts they deserve- however, this planet needs dupes to exist and such businesses thrive because many of the people want to have access to an experience they think they need without breaking the bank :D and I'd say a good dupe could be very satisfying ( with this one I do not wish to suggest that one company has to steal all the ideas to make a dupe, like in this example you have shared here on the vid- ) Sometimes, high end brands do go cheap with their products, but then the local dupe turns out to be better in quality, for example with the fabric it was tailored from...

I can unfortunately relate. High end makeup is really REALY high end in my country. The prices go from 200 up which is rediculous when contrasted with 20+ for a drugstore. Like a original chocolate pallette is like 250 and mur one costs 50. After all I absolutely believe that dupes should not look like dupes straight away (copy those damn colours but be original with the packaging).

the only criticisms I ever have for your videos are not showing proof or sources a lot of the time for things, and saying, "I /THINK/ it was (blank) or (blank)." if you're going to report on something, please show sources or photos when you can and make sure the information you're putting out there is as accurate and factual as you can possibly be. I hear you say a lot, "You can do your own research," or, "You can go look it up for yourself." but that's exactly why people come to your channel. I only bring these things up because I genuinely love your content SO much, and I hope to see you keep succeeding and getting better and better. 💕
