Bioshock was one of those games that opened my eyes to the storytelling potential of this medium and helped me realize just how creative people are in this industry. I've been waiting on this one for a while, can't wait to finally get my hands on it!

I think people forget that bio shock 1 and 2 were also very ammo efficient type games were you had to be super selective on how you used your ammo, magic, health, and other resources or you would quickly run out and be very screwed

And it was also rewarding cause if you knew how to manage your stuff and efficiently take out enemies, your wallet would constantly be overflowing. I would constantly buy a bajillion electric slug shells and grenade frags when I needed them cause I was managing my plasmids in earlier levels.

I'm seeing this sentiment a lot recently with the number of legendary game directors making their long-awaited return to a beloved franchise. But let's be real: as long as the game is funded by a major holdings company (such as Take Two Interactive, this game's publisher) it's not going to be any less "accessible", "watered-down", whatever you wanna call it, than its predecessors. The ONLY hope for that lies in true indie games. That said I'm sure this will be a very worthwhile and fun game. I'm just very skeptical of the "return to the glory days" type of hype.

@@IlIlllIIIllIIlIIlII Ok, let me put this another way: Bioshock 1 & Infinite were also AAA titles, and even flawed, I do love both games; yes: both. I´ve recently replayed Infinite from start to finish, and even though it wasn´t what the trailers back then promised, and neither what we expected, I still believe it to be a fine game. So, of course Judas isn´t going to be perfect and all, but then again: what is? If it manages to be quality wise on a level with the two Levine-Shocks, I´m happy.

It was interesting to hear your take on this compared to Skill Up. I am now even more hyped about this game than I was before. It sounds AMAZING. One thing you mentioned that Skill Up talked about more is the "psudo-procedural" element. Based on his description, it sounds like they are taking another crack at what Bethesda tried and failed to do with Starfield: procedural presentation of curated events. What you run into will be determined procedurally, but the actual content is curated. This is very much like what planetary exploration was supposed to be like for Starfield. I was a great concept, but the one big issue is that, if you are going to do this, then the number of different curated events must be VERY large. This is where Bethesda failed HARD. If Judas can get this right, we are looking at one of the most interesting and potentially immersive experiences ever created for a game. I can't wait.

Looks cool, like the idea of narrative Lego, be curious as to how it actually comes together. The trick isn’t really in changes to the environment but in how many different stories you can build out of what’s there and whether those make for satisfying stories. If they all amount to just 2 or 3 different total stories , 1 for each faction with a few deviations along the path it’s effectively no different than mass effect. But it sounds like they’ve put a lot of effort into what they’re trying do so very keen to see what they’ve done

I like the way it looks, and a new “bioshock” is always welcome. The NPC interactions and dynamics seems interesting as well. The only thing that I’m not too excited about is the enemies that have been shown so far. Which I think was a problem in the first Bioshock games. But it was forgiven because they were such great games. But I really hope there’s more than animatronic chefs and giraffe things with some toasters tossed in for good measure. More diversity in that aspect would be much appreciated. Some large bosses and some messed up cyborg janitors or something lol

Probably one of the few games I can safely say I'm very excited about. Levine is one of a kind, and this game seems to deliver on most of the things that made his previous creations so good, mainly good and easy going gameplay mechanics, story and an ever present critique of humanity's flaws regardless of time and space and how we will eventually make the most perfectly planned out utopias crumble under our arrogance.

Looking forward to playing this, there will be the naysayers. But we will be the judge to see if Levine's Judas will either sink or swim. I can tell there's elements of films from Logan's Run, Soylent Green, Stanley Kubrick's Clockwork Orange and 2001, George Lucas' THX 1138, and Pink Floyd The Wall (1982) (along with the Floyd's magnum opus 1979 album). Plus games from the first two Dead Space games between Ishimura and The Sprawl (Titan Station), and of course BioShock. Is it just me or does Troy Baker bring his voice of Joel (The Last of Us Parts 1 & 2) in the role of Tom?

I’m looking forward to this game more than any other game in existence right now.. the only qualm I have right now is, if all the enemies r robotic that might be an issue for me.. I’ve played games before that have exclusively mechanical enemies n it’s never as satisfying killing rhem as it is killing humanoid, flesh and blood enemies .. ie, atomic heart

Ken Levine is among a select few of video game narrative story tellers that whatever they say they want to make I support 100% and will blindly buy it. Neil Druckman with Naughty Dog and Sam Lake with Remedy being others.

This sounds awesome, bioshock series made other games so boring after for me it was very weird ,but a testament to Kevs games . Hope this game does that again for me
