I love Jakob's singing and music. I wish they were more popular but I like my hidden secret of listening to their music
@suereaney70973 жыл бұрын
Been feeling very low, so been alternating between Tom Petty, Jakob and Bob Dylan, and Jeff Lynne. Helps such a lot, especially when singing along! Speaking of Jakob, the albums 'Seeing Things' and 'Woman and Country' are awesome, if you've not yet listened to the full track listings, you're missing out! Hope everyone is keeping as safe as possible and doing okay. - Sue xx

Brilliant artist. I still remember him turning to Adria Petty when the Heartbreakers were backing up his Dad and saying, "that's your Dad? He's amazing". Way back in the mid-80's. Like Tom Petty himself, I think he deserves much more public exposure.

Like this kind of song or style that your Dad used to sing in his early days, the days when Peter, Paul and Mary was also very popular as folk singers. Your dad is such a great song writer and singer, but his style had changed a lot from the 70"s. You got a nice harmony voice, I like the tune, and this is also the kind of songs that those war torn countries needs right now!

Jakob"s octave range is quite impressive.The melody is cheerful and ushers in a bright ray of positivity,The song title has the verb placed at the end of the sentence.There must be a rationale behind it as grammatically the syntax is eronneus in English but acceptable in Latin and German.Do you care to comment?
@ShakinSlim3 жыл бұрын
I guess it echoes Ray Bradbury's novel, 'Something Wicked This Way Comes'. In poetic forms, especially before the 20th Century, it's relatively common to see syntactical structures from Latin or German used in place of the conventional English structures. Consider Romeo in Romeo and Juliet, "But soft, what light through yonder window breaks?"

it took me four times to finish transcribing the words to this which i mainly do for my own benefit since i like to sing along with my favorites ...JD's songs are so haphazard that i cant successfully commit them to memory ...when i first learned about Bobs son making music back in the very early 90's i was like oh no im not going to like him because BD is my favorite song writer of all time...but now i have grown to enjoy JD's music even more
