This is just an amazing song that I never tire of. Jakob is a intelligent songwriter with a haunting voice. Have seen The Wallflowers a couple of times and plan on seeing them this month at the Paramount in Huntington, NY. A totally underrated band, as Jose says. Jakob's father must be proud.

It has nothing to do with THIS song; but i just wanted to tell you i grew up next door to Huntington in Northport. Saw the original Allman Brothers band with Duane at that very same venue, summer of 1971, two weeks after the now-classic double Fillmore East album came out. From what i can tell, the Wallflowers certainly approach that level of musicianship. Hope you enjoyed the show! Wish I coulda been there, too!...lol

This melancholic song, full of metaphors and euphemisms is just deep, beautiful, special and bitterly true. I played it day after day and I don't get bored. Thank you guys!

I love this video, how the song gives a magic feel to the clip. I love the lady in it, how happy and excited and hopeful she looks. So what if she's chubby and not that young? How many of us can feel that happy with ourselves? "The hardships of marching they've only just begun/ Love is a country better crossed when you're young" The feeling this video gives me is that she made an actual choice to be seek out her own happiness. She's not young anymore, but she's marching. :)

While "One Headlight" still sits firmly entrenched at the top of my Wallflowers playlist, this one is certainly right up there with it. I remember hearing it somewhere like Pandora or something in my mix after this first came out and I was like, "Is that Jakob Dylan!?" And much to my surprise, it was and this is a song I still keep coming back to 6 years later!

Huge fan of this highly underrated band. Love from India. Started following them from the 90s when their music video "Heroes" from the original motion picture soundtrack for the film Godzilla (1998) went viral on MTV. Wallflowers songs on a long drive feel so amazing, got so much depth and meaningful lyrics. Excellent artists they are.

Another WF classic. Breach was one of their most underrated releases but Glad All Over is not too far behind. So universal the principle of "strike while the iron is hot." You only get one shot and it's when you're young and wherever you are in this world the love in your heart, personal beliefs and who you know yourself to be is greater than any nation, government or external circumstance in your way. I could have done without seeing Jakob looking like Adam Yauch in Beastie Boy's Sabotage but the rest of it is nothing but good. P.S. Cyndi Lauper has really put on some weight.
@123thof7 жыл бұрын
I think that *Breach* and *Red Letter Days* are the masterpieces, with the rest being merely excellent.

@callmefranchise4 жыл бұрын
@@ben-ladenbernanke5374 -- Agreed, the story that "It Feels Like Summer Again" tells about "Bringing Down the Horse" and "Breach" are fantastic if you follow the lyrics. "I buried my horse in a shallow grave, I said a few things, I had champagne. That beast gave me everything that nobody gave ... I just found out my bird can really sing." Friggin' brilliant!

Can anyone help me with the interpretation of the video? I think it is about the lady taking a cab back home (or a memorable destination) while reminiscing times when she and the guy (with the cowboy hat, assumed to be long lost or died? Because she ended up crying at the end of the vid?) were used to be together, while taxi goes through places where he also passed by before. Legit?
