This is the best way to stop an urge : Step 1 : Leave your mobile or whatever you are doing and drink a glass of water Step 2 : After drinking, sprint towards an open place ( can be your rooftop ) Step 3 : Think about your vision and what you want to be in future After some minutes, you will realise that your urge has gone

Nofap isnt exactly healthy though... like, you could literally be desensitized in your lowe region, especially for girls. Its about control. If you can control it in a healthy dose its fine. Thats why homeostasis is the best. Balance it in a healthy way. If you cant control it, then yeah you shouldnt do it I guess. Its like drinking alcohol. If you're a major alcoholic, maybe you should try hard to stop. But if you drink maybe once every month, its not an issue and you can clearly balance it. Do what fits you, not what others want you to fit in.

Me being a Christian and reading your comment, u just gave me a sudden urge to look at my addiction in the face and say NO!!! Being Christian’s it’s our duty to walk in a manner holy and blameless before the Lord. Obviously we can’t do this perfectly, and we’re still gonna fall sometimes, but asking that question of choosing God over porn, the Christian answer should automatically be Yes!!! And then proving it is the next step!! Thank u sir for your comment. Wish me luck as I start my journey and stare down my addiction and turn the opposite direction!!!

Lust is one of the only sins God tells us to run away from (2 Timothy 2:22). So how do we run away from it? Getting into prayer and the word 1 Corinthians 10:13 God has provided a way out to of course anyone who asks. That’s what we do whenever we feel the temptation, but how do we start to be free, now this dude in video said it correctly: we need to get rid of the root of our temptation (Matthew 5:30) we need to get rid of the things that spark our temptations, this could be like; delete TikTok, instagram and other social media’s giving you the urge. If ima be real you are going to make mistakes, I made mistakes, my pastor who helped me with lust made mistakes. You’re not going to overcome lust in one day not even 3 months but maybe a year but it’s different for everyone. I also wanna say one thing get an accountability partner, I didn’t get one personally but I’ve heard from other people that it helped them a lot. May God be with you on your journey and I pray for deliverance from this sin. God bless!

You know while watching this video I remembered a Bible story , of how 2 men were building houses. One built his on the sand and the other on the rock of a mountain. When they went to go sleep after they built it a storm came. The man who built his house on the sand tried to save it best he could but it didn’t work. The man who built his house on the rock was still there and STRONG , sturdy , ready for anything. The devil will send storms after us but if we built a good foundation on a good source of land we will not fall. Thank you Jak for reminding me of this and helping me through one of the toughest parts of my life ❤🙏

Thank you man. I am 15 years old and started watching porn 4 years ago, which has led to me watching it multiple times a day nowadays. Yesterday I decided I wanted to get my life back in shape, and quit a bunch of bad habits including, porn, social media, procrastination, poor hygiene, cursing, complaining, soda, candy, chips (and other highly unhealthy foods) and much more. I almost relapsed today which is very concerning since it's only day 1, however I caught myself before I even started doing it, hence why I am here. I've already seen many improvements including understanding what's going on in my school classes, and being able to hold strong conversation, I really hope future me isn't an idiot.

Good for you for realizing how harmful this is. I truly hope you run from this problem now before it gets worse, and it will. I was introduced to porn when I was 7 and that during the time when high speed internet was new and people were not aware of what kids could see on it. I'm 28 and had I recognized it for what it was earlier I would have saved myself from a lot of suffering. The momentary temptation will never be worth the reprocussions.

Thanks for this Jak. All my reasons for wanting to quit porn: ‌To feel better mentally. ‌To gain a deep love and excitement for life as opposed to temporary hits of disgusting porn. In other words, I want to be able to create my own self enjoyment through myself rather than temporary pleasure. ‌To become more in control of myself. ‌To not set my expectations too high for physical appearance later in life - if I do it means I'm not going to find a gf or partner. ‌To desexualise my brain. ‌To be able to see women for who they are - inside not out (obviously I can admire outer beauty but over time, porn causes that outer beauty to become more important to a man than inner beauty). This will mean I can get more appreciation for people in general, and more love for people. So being out and amongst people will become a more enjoyable experience. ‌To have more time for bettering both my physical health (gym) and mental health. To not get erectile dysfunction.

My reasons are as follows: porn makes me feel like shit, it uses up my energy, I want to see women as humans not objects, and it holds me back from being the best person I can be. I also have always wanted to be a musician as a career, so I plan on using my extra time and energy to improve my guitar playing and vocal skills, and finish writing songs with my band. My goal for the band is that I want it to be a sustainable career for when I do turn 18, and also I always hear you tell me to ‘dream big’ so I want to help bring rock, metal, and grunge back into the mainstream so that more people will be exposed to those genres of music. Also, I want to thank you Jak, because I have been failing on nofap since may of 2023 and I have never gone past about 7 days. Without you, I would never be able to quit porn, and you have and will continue to change my life for the better

To have a clear mind to focus on academics, it is my main focus at the moment and I really need to focus on it 2. To lower my temptations so I don't fuck up my future in the world of dating 3. To feel more confident in myself so I actually can get out there into the dating world and not constantly worry about how it all works 4. To steer away from that dopamine hit amd get that hit from something I actually enjoy and want to do, for example exercise 5. To lower my stress and anxiety so I'm constantly not stressing about things like a digital footprint or weird ads I get in my recommend 6. To be able to look at a beautiful women and not have my mind think of something gross

How will being successful in the dating world get you closer to your dream life? 4. What habits can you create today that get you closer to your dream life? 5. What would you want to feel instead of stress and why? 6. Why? What benefit do you get out of that and how does that benefit benefit your life? Go deeper brother.

If you have any questions about quitting your “addiction” let me know, cuz addiction isn’t real, You are a human being with personal freedom and any substance use is completely and totally your choice. And btw every time you get an “urge” that’s you WANTING IT! Not some evil thing tempting you, cuz you have you in your mind and NOTHING can highjack your mind.

I unfortunately am struggling with this horrible addiction, but I'm now determined to fight this addiction so it won't take over me anymore because: I'm tired of feeling like shit I don't want to have a sexualized brain I want to be a good Christian I want to pursue a career in music I want to see my crush as who she is more on the inside than the outside (even though it's OK to admire beauty in a girl) I want to form a band with my friend who also plays guitar I want to use that energy I used on that to get caught up on schoolwork, and be confident that I'm a good musician And most importantly, I want to be confident so I can talk to my friend about the idea of a band, and confident enough to talk to my crush more often. This video has motivated me so that if I feel like I'm about to relapse, I can come back to this video so I can think twice about it. Thank you so much for this video. You really are changing lives, including mine. You deserve a sub.

I've recently found a girl that has all the values I've been looking for and I know she likes me but I'm still to shy to say anything. However, she's made me realise how much of a bad person I am compared to her (not like a shithead just I don't care abt myself as much as she does herself) I've seen this from the fact she's so much more mature then me even tho she's only a year older then me. And we're in out senior years and she's made me realise I need to focus on school and this is holding me back from doing my homework, assignments and studying. And I really like this girl that I've been talking to for a few weeks and don't want to fuck it up by porn. So thank you Jak for making this video and the other one abt how it destroyed relationships for u in highschool. I highly appreciate it and it makes me feel more comfortable as your around my age and went through the same things. So again thank you so much Jak for doing what you do,never stop brother ❤

There’s this girl I like, and when you were talking about how guilty I would be if I lost a loved one because of how drained I was, I thought about saving her from choking on a piece of gum. I always regret watching corn after I finish one video. It’s been a struggle for me. You inspired me to quit corn like no one else ever had. Mad respect brother. Edit: I have listed my reasons why I want to quit corn. Here are my reasons. 1. I want to be a clean man and a child of God. 2. If I don’t, it will ruin my relationship with my future girlfriend, parents, or any friendship. 3. I don’t want to see everyone as se*, I want to get rid of my se*ualized mind. 4. Be a mentally heathy man. 5. Avoid depression. 6. Not be a bad influence amongst people. 7. Have stronger experience on temptation and make temptation nothing to me. 8. Not care about the size of women’s body parts. 9. Get stronger in the gym. 10. Have self confidence (go up to people and talk to them without a se*ualized mind).

Im gonna say it here: My reasons: I want the energy to find what i actually want to do with my life I want to be more disciplined, if i dont control my urges there is a high possibility that i wont control anything I want to stop being a victim, I want to grow up. I want to stop feeling inside this void I want to be able to be strong not only physically, but mentally so i can support those around me I want to be able to rely on myself, if i dont control myself then im not reliable. I want to begin living in the real world and not through a screen I want to feel more like myself, and not like something or someone else controls my actions or what i do Im addicted because it feels good, in the moment, busting it feels so good. but going out feels better, talking to someone feels better, dancing alone feels better, the gym feels better, getting the highest grade feels better. I want to stop because i dont want to feel sorry for myself, i want to feel better for myself and those around me. I want to be the pillar that I want to rely on but for me and everyone. I want to be better. Ive already deleted social media, so im almost there.

This is really good advice but another thing that helped me was thinking to myself “I have no excuse”, so every time I would get an urge I would remember that I have no valid excuse. I find that doing that just engaged my logical thinking enough to pull away, because a lot of the time it’s our emotional mind subconsciously swaying us into doing the habit that we are trying to quit, if you have somewhat of an argument with yourself each times you get an urge it becomes hard for the emotional mind to win.
