However the most importantly thing was to make sure the pod open before. Also to check not to buy any force open ones. Sometimes I see some red part left behind but I ignore and me still alive 😆.

Add loads of fresh garlic and pepper when boiling the ackee and salt to the ackee water and you will explode with flavors. Add black pepper when cooking it up. Then you got yourself a winner 🎉

Please soak or washed off the preseved salt off of the salt fish and then boiled it. Best to boiled the ackee in the same codfish water to get the flavour added to the ackee, made it much sweeter & nice to the taste buds after adding the fresh seasonings and spices, don't forget the habanero or scotch bonnett pepper, even the ghost pepper if you love it caliente. Eeh sah. Tekk you time. No joke.
