You are such a wonderful role model. You are literally my idol right now. We just bought our second house. Moved from our mini homestead in Texas to Florida. House needs a lot of work before we move in and we're staying with a friend. I feel so lost. My heart is home in Texas. I miss my plants, my big yard. I miss my chickens and my projects. Hi - suggestion for room layout... 1/put chair and ottoman where you planned on putting tv.. 2/ put tv left of fireplace 3/ put a couch under window 4/ center couch on far wall... it will looked less crammed and utilize room layout. 😊

Jamerrill, I don't know how you do it. Such a busy life. We are the same age but I just can't. I get tired after 3 hours of chores. You clean, the house gets messy again immediately. You get to cleaning again. You cook huge freezer meals. You home school your kids, you do farming. I know it's not easy with many kids. You are absolutely amazing.

I would place the sofa in front of the window, the love seat centered on the wall and chair angled on the left of the fireplace. The fireplace is the focal point of the room. Tv above/on mantle.

Hi! Interior designer here 😊 You can pull the sofa closer (possibly aligning with the edge of fireplace) to the TV then you’d have room for a sofa table behind the sofa and put some lamps as additional lighting. Also you could put the love seat in front of the window., centered. Additionally the chair and a half could go in corner - angled. A side table might be nice at the chair for reading or a drink to hang out on. Wish KZbin would allow me to attach a drawing 😀 house looks amazing! You are doing such a wonderful job with everything!

Hon, you just have so many projects going at once inside and out and something is gonna suffer from lack of attention!! Give yourself a little time.....I know mega and large and full steam ahead is your way but take a breath. You've taken on everything since you moved. Animals, gardening, canning, food preservation, children, home schooling, remodeling just everything! I know you depend on The Lord to keep you healthy and going, but boy, he has a hard time keeping up with you! Lol. Just take the time to enjoy what you do accomplish Jamerrill. Sometimes it takes me forever to get through one of your videos! For your living room furniture placement, you may want to try putting the couch in front of the window, the love seat where you currently have the couch and your husband's chair coming out diagonally from the corner (left of the fireplace). I had to rearrange my Living Room probably a dozen times before I found the exact right spot for everything - you can live with it for a while and see what works and what doesn't.

for front room... can you put the long couch facing the fireplace, second biggest couch on far wall (but not touching), and big chair in corner across from TV (angled into room). the small white ends table can go between the two couches to complete the corner. the ottoman can sit where a coffee table would.

We just closed on our first home at the end of June so now Im trying to figure out how to work with our new space considering our last place was a rental and a lot smaller. I do it the easiest way...take graph paper. 2 squares equal a foot. Draw the outline of your living room, 12 x 12 would be 24 squares x 24 squares. Now measure the furniture, draw them on a separate graph paper and make cutouts. This way you can play with the paper rather then moving big heavy furniture. It works every time!

Hi Jamerrill! Just a suggestion, I think your large couch would be best in front of your bay window. It isn’t too big to cover it and would help your seating and tables look not as cramped. Maybe you could move the love seat to the wall the couch is now and the half chair where the love seat is now. Use the corner where the half chair is now for your tv stand. I just feel seating facing the fireplace would be beautiful and relaxing!! Love your videos, specifically Sharp Shopper. Would love to have one here in Kentucky! Your home is looking so great! We moved into our place (rental, not owned) in June and we're still waiting to find a couch. Had to get a washer and dryer first (six people priorities!). We also moved into a much smaller place (just under 1,000 sq ft) so I've been working on organization and finding a place for everything. It's finally coming together. Sometimes, it takes time. It's your home, you shouldn't feel rushed to get it decorated or "perfect". I think you guys are fantastic! As long as you and your husband are together on things, who cares what others think. Though, I do think that all you guys have done is great! Looking forward to your next video!

Then at Christmas time you could just rearrange a little bit so that you still have the tree in front of the window. I stopped the video and studied the room. I love decorating. This room is really lovely with that fireplace and saving the window for the Christmas tree. You bought a lovely set but using it all in one room will clog up the space. Use the gray love seat on the kitchen wall and put the blue sofa downstairs. I think these two rooms will flow better like that. Put the chair + ottoman to the right of the window if you’re facing it - to your right when you walk in the room. Angle it kitty corner facing the fireplace with ottoman in front as foot rest. Center the large sofa on the wall straight ahead when you walk in. Put a coffee table in front of it. Put TV kitty corner to your left when you walk in the room - to the left of the fireplace. Now the sofa and the chair can view the TV and the fireplace. The seating should be facing the fireplace which is not only useful for fires but more pleasing aesthetically as it compliments the centerpiece of the room. Right now every seating is facing away from the fireplace and it feels awkward and like the best features are being fought against not highlighted. You can always add some bean bags/other compact kid seating for that room and they can just be stacked up in a corner or brought up from downstairs/bedrooms when needed. Hope this helps💕

I would put the TV above the fire place and rearrange the seating. And one day when you finish the basement I’d put some bedrooms and bathrooms down there and have a large family room with a sectional and move the TV down there and a have nice designated homeschool area so your first floor could be more “momma grown up” space and be less chaotic for you.

Perhaps the tv over the fireplace since you’re not using the fireplace and the chair and a half could go where the tv is on the stand right now and you can center the couch. Or loveseat where the tv and stand is right now and chair and a half could go where your loveseat is now. Your decorations are so lovely. Can’t wait to see your home all decorated. The the down stairs all completed and the insert downstairs complete. Woohoo!

We all have our own personal style when it comes to decor, her house isn't even close to being over crowded, in some styles of decor you can barely find an empty wall space anywhere in the home, or any empty square foot that doesn't have a tiny table holding a plant, some books, or something someone picked up on their travels. Some homes, like Kim and Kanye West, have 1000's of sq ft of nothing but stark white walls, white floors, white furniture, and very little ot it. The beauty of this world is our uniqueness and being able to be happy for others when they are happy with their style. My house doesn't have a single chicken or farm animal print in it, and it's not likely I ever will (never say never, ya never know...I might see one day that clucks to me) but I sure do love each and every one of Jamerilles because I adore her, her ability to shine so much joy and love into a world that is quite frankly deeply lacking in both. She is this beacon of hope in an otherwise pretty doomsday filled environment we are currently living in. If each and every one of those things she has loving placed around her home bring her joy, then that makes me incredibly happy for her.

Just a suggestion. Largest couch centered on the wall it’s on now. Large chair put in coroner where loveseat is. Loveseat move in front of window. You can always move things around at Christmas to make room for the tree. ❤️

My bff had a living room laid out very similar to yours, she had 3 small kiddos at the same time, under her big bay window she just did 4 big baskets that were nice , kinda of matched the decor ( the cloth types ones, I get these at places like Marshall's, etc, where they are often a good reduced $), anyway, those were just excellent ways for the younger kiddos to do a very quick, end of day, end of play pick up. They didn't block the window and served such a functional and much needed extra storage! As the kids got older she replaced the baskets with a long bench that had a lid that lifted up, so also adding storage but not a safety issues for little fingers, as the kiddos got older, she later used the storage for extra throw blankets, etc. Just something to noodle around as your exploring all your inner designer dreams and hopes. Everything looks just beautiful!! I am so SO happy for you and your family that you've found your forever home and you've finally been able to have a little more financial freedom to have some of those inner designer dreams come true. You are one of the hardest working Mumma's I've ever had the great pleasure to get to know a little through our little virtual community. A side note. Your smallest "biggest fan" asked for a camera for his 9th birthday ( which was yesterday)... so he can make videos like Jamerille. It's one of the most precious things ever, he makes lists on his white boards (which he now has 4 of) and now holds his little camera and films himself....ever video begins with " hello friends". ❤️

Some with the small shoe shelf, you could put it out over a towel for rain boots and or snow boots keep the rest of the shoes in the cubbies dry and clean and keep the floor dry

Love the accessories that you picked out for the rooms if I were you I wouldn’t hang any pictures higher than the door jams in height and if you move your sofas around where I suggested it’ll balance out the room and it won’t look so heavy on one end. I love everything you do hun

I love the decor but I would definitely move the large couch in front of the window and move the tv too. Perhaps mounting the tv to give you more space. Overall everything is looking fabulous!!!

I would put your couch in front of the bay and the loveseat where the couch was and the chair where the loveseat was. I know you are thinking that you don’t want to cover your bay window but I really think you have no choice for a good layout. You will still be able to see out of the bay. Also you could move the couches into the middle facing each other and put the chair in the corner. Try moving it around and see what you think! Love your videos!

Hello :) I absolutely loved your candles in the fireplace :) I manage a lot of software projects and I love using project plans for my life as well, it’s so helpful writing everything out, prioritizing the projects and then creating tasks and timelines for the higher priority projects. I’d highly recommend stopping everything, taking inventory of your projects and decide what to prioritize and task and tackle that. When you have so much going on and everything has the same priority and urgency nothing ever gets completed or done well (and I think you and I both share the gift of perfectionism) and you suffer burnout and often ill physical and mental health.
